I really hate this question, and it comes up for every MMO. Short answer that applies every time: If the trinity exists, you need it. If it doesn't (as in GW2), you don't. Sure, it might be possible to clear content without it, but that means one of three things: 1) You are overgeared for the content. 2) You are a player of above average skill, grouped with other players of above average skill. 3) The content is too easy to begin with, because a group with all the advantages of the trinity in the party will steamroll content designed not to need it. — LessPop_MoreFizz 24 secs ago
