@FEichinger never really had that problem, screen is a bit mucky but I use my nails to push buttons (ie: the power button you're saying is going to be covered in thick layers of grease and sweat)
@kalina Wouldn't call it thick, but probably enough for the IR node to work not as well as expected in the end. And, again, it's also a mechanical piece that's easy to break. No need to add another sensitive piece in there.
Though that reminds me, turns out more recent versions of PHP have a limit of 1000 POST variables by default, and our payroll form at some locations can exceed it, so that was fun. It's such a nasty form
TV Tropes, also known as Television Tropes and Idioms, is a wiki that collects and expands on various conventions and devices (tropes) found within creative works. Since its establishment in 2004, the site has gone from covering only television and film tropes to also covering those in a number of other media such as literature, comics, video games, and even things such as advertisements and toys. It is known for approaching topics in a casual and humorous tone—cyberpunk author Bruce Sterling once described its style as a "wry fanfic analysis."

@FEichinger Yeah, was very easy to fix . Not as easy to discover though, for whatever reason it's only a warning not an error, and since it didn't trigger on a displayed page (only on the save action which doesn't render a page) I never got the warning output in development
Dell: Do a few minutes of online chat, a man comes round a few days later and fixes it in your home in an hour. Apple: Book an appointment a week in advance, then surrender your laptop (and its root password!!) for a week while it's fixed.
@badp unrelated to apple products, but if someone wants my root password, I give them my middle finger (because fingerprint scanner. And fsck that person as well)
Whenever I team up with some friends, I end up playing higher level bracket games since they are much better at Dota than myself.
However I get totally destroyed in these games. Usually in pubs of my level, I often end up being one of best players of the game, but when playing with this team, I ...
I have completed the game already and i am at 99% completion right now I need to find just one relic on the Research Base which requires the use of a grenade launcher to blow up the wall to get it, unfortunately since i have beat the game and killed all the enemies I couldn't find any ammo of th...
@OrigamiRobot Give it 5 years, and someone will be naming them off and you'll make a smartass comment about how they get a -1 for knowing the names, and they'll say they were awesome.
Then you'll get your cane, hobble over to the window, and scream at some kids to get off your lawn.
"Last time [we] sent out a warning email along the lines of: We never ask for your username and password. If you get an email that looks like: "There is an issue with your account. Please reply with your username and password and we will rectify it"
You should never reply to these messages with your details. 50 people replied with their usernames and passwords."
@YiJiang'sEvilClone I think we just need to take away their internet privaleges. Or something. IT should have messed with their accounts with that information (because apparently they needed such information to do so?)

@GraceNote We have fixed font for code. And a block of text can just as well have markdown, if we paste it in. No reason for it not to use markdown on multi-line there.
@fredley Oh, I'm cycled back now. If you go out into the water a bit from the mouth of the river in spawn town, you'll find a small island I'm working on
@SaintWacko Cool, I'll check it out later. If you find yourself needing a thing or two you're welcome to take the odd thing from my server, but don't go crazy. Also: use the machine room early on
I just finished The Atrocity Archive and The Concrete Jungle in less than 48 hours. This probably means I'll be back at the library tomorrow checking out Halting State, Rule 34 and The Jennifer Morgue, if I can find it
The other post was getting a bit long and convoluted so let's have another stab at this. This is for the London meetup. You don't actually have to be British, but it helps.
Some people have suggested early August as a good timeframe, so lets see how that works for people.
