Aside from the mind-numbingly slow pace unbelievably stubborn characters, there was just no depth at all.

When I gave up, I read a brief synopsis of the series to see what I'm missing out on.

I guess it's a lot easier than the previous game because it is less balanced. The tag CO system breaks a lot of the game's mechanisms, and you get one of the most powerful COs right from the start. Rachel's Super CO Power is ridiculously good.

Basically, it's like FE, but instead of characters that persists between battles units are produced or pre-deployed on the battlefield

Your commanding officer has a power meter that fills whenever your unit takes or deals damage. CO powers are very powerful and can dramatically turn the battle around

Each CO also has unique passive properties. Rachel has luck, which means her units deals 100-110% damage instead of 95-105% like most other COs.

Dual Strike introduces the tag CO concept, where you get to use two COs instead of one, so that they can cover each other's weaknesses. When both CO's power meter is full, they can use the Tag CO Power, which allows units to move twice within the same turn.

It's extremely powerful, to the point of game breaking IMO. But that doesn't really matter if you're playing the campaign
