Q: Skipping cutscenes

Is there any way to skip cutscenes in the first Mass Effect game? I read somewhere that you could press space repeatedly, but that is not working. I'm having trouble with a post-cutscene fight and I'm annoyed I have to sit through the cutscene every time things go south.

Q: How do I perform Chained Blitz on an Iphone?

I am trying to play Slash'em on the iPhone, but when I try to perform Chained Blitz everything is "greyed" out and not clickable. It doesn't seem to let me input a direction like Left Right UP Down. Can anyone help? Patrick
