It's not that asking lots of questions on the same topic is bad, but that the particular question on which discussion started was self-answered at the time of asking (meaning she had the answer at time of asking), and that DavidYell basically commended her for it (yes, I understand self-answering is allowed/encouraged, etc etc etc)

At what point does it stop being 'good/useful content' and turns into 'content for the sake of content'?

@pixel That's intended to be used for when something is an actual problem. Not just hypothetical questions about problems no one has. I'm not saying that's what's going on, but that seems to be what @Gwen is concerned about.

My usual litmus test for asking a question which I answer myself is: If it took me more than two weeks of research to find that answer, it's good enough. Else it's too easy.

I find indie games fascinating. Ever since I started gaming on the PC, I've been trying to play way too many different indies just to see what they're all like.

I really should start a blog or something about it.

@SaintWacko I like the idea of that a lot, but in practice it was a pain to play on that vs. on the local install version.

Even so, I usually ask the question, then leave it for a week for others to be able to answer. Maybe they found a better answer than me.

@pixel: The cannon onto the tower vista/skill point/whatever it was. That is the most anti-climatic thing in the history of forever. Makes you think you're going to get shot out of a cannon.. and then it just teleports you. My friend and I who did it were so sadfaced.

did my story quest to catch up, levelled all professions to 100, did more story quest to catch up, and then did a combination of extreme gathering, crafting, and story quest

with all the random tagging of POI/Vistas/Waypoints/renowned quests in between

The story seems pretty weak though. I remember my nordic guardian, who was sent to put down some ogres or whatever, and screwed up - he instead installed into their boss the idea on how to get stronger. At this point, the NPCs pointed it out and I fully expected to fail this quest, and need to redeem myself, or get an alternative story line. But no, everything's fine. I just needed to kick down the ogre boss later when he levelled up some. Never mind he'd just respawn still higher level.
