@pixel depends on which nexus phones you are referring to. admittedly they have their flaws, such as with the galaxy nexus and it's bad speaker phone, but no device is without flaws

my phone gets used so much that most of the time it isn't even charged

the biggest annoyance that I've heard about it is that the speaker is flush with the back. so if you set your phone face-up on a flat surface, especially on any surface with give, you'll muffle the speaker

of course that's easily solved with an accessory such as this (works great with laptops, too)
