People ask questions that have already been answered and then get mad when people direct them to that answer (close it as a duplicate)
People ask underspecified questions and then get mad when people ask them to provide the details that would be needed to actually answer it in any useful way
People ask questions so broad they are essentially "write my application for me" and then get mad when users say "no"
I have minimal sympathy for people who complain about SO without showing the actual interaction that they're unhappy about
@murgatroid99 That happens a lot, yes, but multiple times I’ve seen questions that are good, but are downvoted to oblivion for being too simple without a reason being given.
If nobody says why they're downvoting, you don't know why the question was downvoted. "Low effort" is a default reason for downvotes, so it might be that, but I don't know without seeing an example.
