@Yuuki 3/9 is generally not recommended because you get an additional feat at class level 4, and depending on the class you play that feat can be important
@Nzall well yes, but that all depends on what the level 3 feature is. generally it's not worth it because most classes don't have a very exciting level 3
@Yuuki Actually, for most classes level 3 is when you unlock your subclass feature
there are 3 to choose from, and I think that's where your confusion stems from: the game doesn't explain clearly you can select another one, and for Warlocks it defaults to pact of the blade
but there are 2 other subclasses you can choose that give different bonuses
At 2nd level, I think just picked free Mage Armor and +CHA to Eldritch Blast damage.
the thing is, invocations require 2 levels of investment as opposed to stay full bard with magic initiate
need to check the bard 12 features
eh, just an ASI
i suppose i could keep 2 warlock levels and go Warlock 2/Bard 10
that way, i keep magical secrets
though i hear they added restrictions on magical secrets so it's not as good as tabletop
little annoyed that college of lore bakes in the three proficiencies rather than giving you a choice of three. i already got arcana proficiency from sage background
Hooray I thought of a question to let me make the payday-3 tag. Slash me double checks what we've ruled on the topic of "betas that used to be open but are not currently open"
(I'm like 80% sure this is allowed)
mmm, yep, +28/-1 vs +2/-9 to allow questions post-beta but pre-release
I should checkup my meta, but if i remember right; if a game has ever been publicly available, questions are OK; hell, even if its a closed beta I'd say it would be
hmm, my party is level 6 but it feels like they're pretty powerful right now. Or maybe the most recent encounters weren't that difficult. Also found a really powerful legendary mace just now
not sure how high AC should usually go at this point, but it feels kinda high with everyone except my mage at 18 or 20 AC. Almost didn't get hit at all in the last encounter
Wasn't exactly sure where Act I ended, but now I actually got the achievement for leaving Act I. So it took me 30h playtime to finish Act I, and I didn't try to be extremely thorough even
Something that might be an option is Minecraft. You can host a server on your local network, and it's a game that really allows drop in drop out gameplay
problem is that 99% of story-based coop games expect only 2 or maybe 3 players
minecraft can be fun too. i used to setup adventures in minecraft on a server i was admin for. would build a giant maze with obstacles and stuff. i usually scaled it for 1-2 people, but could be done for larger groups or have people compete for times
@BeeePollen Not escape room, but worth noting as a decent party game for bigger groups, Jackbox games. One instance of the game that everyone can see, and each player goes to a URL (usually on a mobile but any browser works).
@BeeePollen for jackbox games, its not really switching, its more of one person needs to have a copy and then they can host a lobby for up to 8-10 players
can do similar things with some other steam games, though usually limited at 4. like overcooked can have 3 people play with the host without needing to own the game. just need to have a controller and be friend on steam
