Q: Does anything transfer from Breath of the Wild to Tears of the Kingdom?

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Assuming a player has a Breath of the Wild save game on their Switch (or in the cloud) does anything transfer to Tears of the Kingdom?

Q: How do you detach connected objects with the Ultrahand?

I have created a long log bridge with some logs I found. I accidentally attached it to one of the floating platforms and will not break off. How do I reclaim my bridge and detach it from the platform? I noticed things will just break off if you're rough with it but it won't disconnect.
