Hi all, just noticed the screenshot of the week for this week. I can't seem to find the entry in the Hall of Fame. Am I looking in the wrong place or is the Hall of Fame out of date?

@Mast if you go to Submit a Photo it'll take you to this weeks and it's listed in the Question with a link back to the corresponding answer

@Fredy31 BTW, every region has a gnosis, with the fatui constantly trying to steal them. But also every nation ends up with a 5* memento.

Really, the whole thing almost seems a feud between Masato Kato and rest of the team first, Tetsuya Nomura afterward.
You have two similar games worked on at the same time, both about "giant space flea destroy world" and random group of people fighting against the odd.
FF7 and Chrono Trigger
FF7 has Aerith die and stay dead, they save nothing (see epilogue, humanity is still going to die off, planet is still very bad) .
Chrono has happy ending and Crono is saved too.

Wonder what? Kato wanted Crono to stay dead. As soon as he took control in Cross you got a sequel that is basically another game, with every main character in the first game killed or implied to be killed off camera.
Seems almost Aerith was meant as a middle finger to Chrono AND the players (they claimed that they wanted them to fell loss and pain after all)

Before sinking the time into properly developing such a question, I wanted to confirm if questions asking about the possibility of 100% completing a game is on-topic for this site. With complex games with branching pathways it can be hard to find out:
When it is possible to complete everything i...

First: in the original game killing Aerith was the easy opt-out for the Cloud-Aerith-Tifa triangle. Kill one of the two females, the survivor becomes Cloud "destined one".
Now... you may have noticed in the ending of Remake part 1 that they seem to be already planning another solution to that issue...

> A- However, young one.. The important talk starts here. What I have been talking about now.. is about the 1997 Original game. BUT! What we do from here on.. will happen in the new 2020 Final Fantasy Remake! FF7 of 2020! In FF7!
A- Has the past changed? no... Or it stayed the same?
A- Has the past changed? no... Or it stayed the same?
btw, it is also quite suspect that when recreating shots from the original game they decided to remake this one:
Remember: the first one is an impossible picture, by the time you see the Highwind in the game Aerith is already gone. That picture can only be seen in the save slots screen.
> Aerith: Hey, Cloud. Did you see the Airship at Junon?
Cloud: …I heard it was big, but I didn't expect it to be THAT big.
Aeris: That was REALLY something. Hey, do you think I could get on it?
Cloud: I'll take you someday

Either they are planning for the biggest red herring of gaming history making her live a little longer to trick players and then going Chrono Cross "how you dared to try to change fate now everything is worse because of you"... and in that case they are also planning Square bankrupt because fans WILL riot and never forgive them...

@Yuuki actually i wonder about that. while the visions look the same one thing i picked up was with the encounter with President Shinra in Shina HQ. when Sephiroth kills 2 characters take a look at where his blade is, there's that same dust/particle effect with both people yet we see one lives thanks to the Whispers
we know that the other stabbed person is supposed to die in the original yet i wonder if The Whispered saved them aswell because why would they need to make sure they died
then you have them wanting to try and contain Rufus inside the Shina Building and then apparently hurting Jessie before the Reactor 5 mission, in the original she was on the mission because you meet up with her in the Reactor and she apologises about the Fake ID's having been too good which triggered Shinra's Security
it makes me think that maybe while the future The Whispers are showing looks the same and their actions might make that future appear, there is something else in the future they want we are not seeing
at the same time the visions that sort of confirmed that the Whispers are trying to make the original ending appeared weren't given willingly. they only appeared after the Whisper Harbinger took significant damage which might be Cloud and his party seeing the future they are making with their current actions
and ofcause if the Whispers take anything from the Lifestream there is a chance they are thralls of Jenova depending on how contaminated the Lifestream is at that point (in Advent Children Geostigma was caused by Jenova's further contamination of the Lifestream)
like despite what Hojo had planned, i think Red XIII had more to his plan because i can't imagine he had counted of Barret to shoot the containment cell and for Hojo to open the door
like one way i was thinking was that Red pounces on Aerith and lets her know his plan to have Aerith throw him off and he throws himself against the glass pretending that Aerith's thrown him off with such force that he is gravely hurt. because Hojo hasn't gotten the results he wants from his precious specimen (Red) he rushs in to check on him only for Red to maul Hojo
