400 kills...
00:57
Well, I'm officially dry on the black mask
01:09
On the bright side horror heads are pretty good prayer xp
@Unionhawk Got 18 of those, ,so that's nice

2 hours later…
03:14
Argh, and now the agility pyramid clue!

2 hours later…
05:40
yep welcome to ironman hell except you don't even have a separate hiscore list

3 hours later…

@Batophobia When I checked about a year ago they were

2 hours later…
12:51
Twitch was leaked
5
Change your passwords
thanks for the heads up
13:36
@Wrigglenite And not just passwords, apparently, but ALL of Twitch o.0
And an Amazon competitor to Steam
@Unionhawk :(
Yes, the entirety of Twitch was leaked
13:50
Also, I'm up to a kill count of 750 on cave horrors
I chose to get my black mask at 433 kc
14:14
@Wrigglenite any idea what it means for linked accounts?
lol wow so many group ironmen training firemaking in lumbridge right now

1 hour later…
15:24
Well, now hearing about an amazon backed competitor to steam I only wonder 'wow, what took amazon so long'
also some people on discord have reported getting a slew of authentication request codes they never requested. so if you have a Twitch Account, good idea to change your password to be safe
sort of concerning in my opinion is this codenamed Vapor, Amazon Game Studio's version of Steam. the concerning part is that Amazon has the money to follow Epic's example and get exclusivity deals
not only is exclusivity on PC stupid but Amazon does use DRM on their digital products (or books at least) so i would expect Vapor to lock every game with DRM
and not "you got to use Vapor to download and launch", i mean entirely single player game requires online access to play
15:50
@Me
@Memor-X well for Vapor, at this point a launcher more or less doesn't make difference to me
except if you want to completely boycott Amazon and their services
@Y'all
@Fredy31 i'd just boycott their games
Like I currently have what... 3-4 launchers on my PC? Riot, Steam, Ubi, EA
Could also have Epic but didn't go to any of their games
Like one more Idgaf
What I find weird is in the leaked numbers, Ninja doesn't seem to be present
15:53
@Memor-X I was surprised by how much the less popular streamers were making. There's more money in streaming than I realized.
Oh dangit
I should've said "Don't @Me" instead
oh no hes 46th
tought he would be on top of the list
@Wrigglenite Okay
Yeah I started @Me and tought enter would complete the @
Nobody ping @Wrigglenite
15:54
@Wipqozn someone noted on discord that those numbers would be just what they make on Twitch and doesn't account for offsite donations, sponsorships and merch sales
@Fredy31 Children don't tend to have disposable income
@Wipqozn on the other hand, streaming, like most entertainment, is pretty top-heavy.
@Wrigglenite sad. Press F
@Yuuki I think I heard once that if you have more than 10 viewers every stream, you are in the top 1% of streamers
@Yuuki Oh it is, but jorbs pills in 120k a year by the looks of it, and he's a pretty niche streamer. He mostly just plays Slay the Spire.
And I would guess if you are at the point of making it a job, you must be a 0.01% of streamer
15:55
the surprises might be more attributed to trying to diversify revenue
120k is good, but thing is, how long will a twitch streamer career be?
Like if I just get 10 years of a 120k a year career, I'm not set for life
which is smart. shouldn't rely entirely on Twitch money if it's your living
And usually there is a rythm of life that costs a lot
like why i think 70% of pro athletes in NFL/NHL/NBA go broke in 2-3 years after their career
you get used to live on top of the world, but that costs a ton
and when the cash stops coming in, well
you quickly go to shilling as much as you can
What I hate about these numbers being out is that people will be WELL YOU ARE MAKING MILLIONS, YOU SHILL
conveniently ignoring that shit like critical role is a business, that has staff and a lot of expenses to put on the show
Like the days where they could just turn on their cameras and stream a bit are long gone
Pretty sure all streamers on that list are working uncountable hours, 7 days a week
Notable names for me: Bruce Greene and Ray Navarez... both ex Rooster Teeth employees, and if you consider those numbers, probably do a lot more than if they were still employed by RT
Really wonder what is the deal with that KnowNothingTV that has a flat 0
16:05
Also worth noting that games tend to costs money
@Batophobia [citation needed]
I cite Bobby Kotick, who lines his pockets with money people spend on games.
I cite Bad Rats, which costs money and is (arguably) a game
@Batophobia does it cost money though with all those free copies?
part of the reason bad rats is/was a meme here was because @Wipqozn kept getting free copies to hand out to people, iirc
Who's to say $Turtle is not money
16:20
@Unionhawk FINALLY! Almost 900 kills

1 hour later…
17:21
@Yuuki @Sterno was the one who kept handing out free copies. I also got a free copy of Elite Dangerous from @Sterno for playing through bad rats.
17:45
so... any news on what should be done with Twitch/Amazon's linked accounts?
18:01
The joys of home ownership: hearing a waterfall in your home where there shouldn't be one. In related news, toilets are really heavy.
@Yuuki reset your pass.
Wait for further instructions, if necessary
@InvaderSkoodge Oh I had a fun one with mine... the overflow of the bath was not connected properly.
So once I overfilled it a little bit, and boom, there was rain in my basement
Oh that's a fun one. The cool thing too is that you might not even know it's happening for who knows how long because what are the chances someone's down there to even know about it.
Oh no I have a furnished basement
We had a leak in our wall, only when the shower was on, for literally years and the only reason we found it is because we had our bathroom redone so the wall had to be opened for unrelated reasons.
its not a crawlspace in places like the US
18:04
Oh, well, then I guess you'd find out right quick :(
I'm demolishing my old chimney this weekend, fingers crossed for no surprises
When the wall was open every once in a while the hallway would be full of water. It took us days to figure out the cause.
water sounds in general freak me out now. it took me like a year or two post-harvey to not have minor anxiety just from hearing rain
That's legit. I got really lucky with my location with the last hurricane that hit NJ, but my sister's house was temporarily on an island and a lot of her neighbors were just underwater.
The downtown area got like 25 feet of flooding or something ludicrous.
@Yuuki I sanded down and redid the varnish on my outside windows that are still wood this summer... I was insecure for WEEKS about not putting enough varnish
until some peeps from DIY informed me that usually, a window is completely isolated from the house, so even if the window rots, it doesn't put everything in danger
but yeah I'll have to build my temp shelter for my car in a few weeks and that is annoying af until there is snow to weigh it down.

That shit is picking up wind like a mofo
18:59
@Fredy31 Narrator: There were surprises.

4 hours later…
23:25
OMG
Just got 128 magic logs from the Brimstone Chest @Unionhawk
