Q: Setting modes on a Cyborg R.A.T. 7

I bought a Cyborg R.A.T. 7 mouse and it's a awesome mouse, but I've been having trouble trying to setting the 3 modes. I was trying to set the profiles for a default, Call of Duty, and Counter Strike. The whole software isn't really user friendly, so I very confused on what I'm doing.

@njallam The downvote is probably from before you added any useful details to your question. Even if it wasn't, it's hard for us to know what it is about your computer that makes Minecraft cause slowdowns. It could be related to the specs you posted, or a background program that interacts with Minecraft weirdly, or some setting somewhere.

@njallam Tech support questions are... more tolerated than encouraged by the community at large. They tend to be very very very difficult to answer - especially performance or crash related ones that don't have a direct error code or message to which they correspond - and are debatable in their ability to make the internet as a whole a better place.

That said, it's also very hard to justify trying to get rid of them entirely, so as a result, some people just downvote them.

@murgatroid99 Well, upgraded periphials are usually used by gamers, almost exclusively. Chances are good that someone else might have used it, and may be able to help him.

@njallam That said, there have been several meta threads on the subject of tech support questions. I've just summarized the 'consensus' such as there is one.

Which is to say, the consensus is that we allow them, but lots of people don't like them.

People downvote things they don't like.

the most important question to ask is: Is this a problem faced by gamers, and is it a problem others gamers can solve? In both cases the answer is yes.

It's a mouse intended for gaming being used for gaming, so I'd say it falls under gaming hardware and we should keep it.

The first "offer" can be skipped by unchecking "I agree to the terms" but for the second the checkbox is actually an image of a checkbox and you need to click on the "Reject" button on the other side of the window to find sanity
