@Batophobia Actually, urban deer are a serious problem in Nova Scotia. It's one thing to have racoons, which are generally nocturnal and don't usually venture out onto the streets (and aren't a huge problem if they get hit by cars) vs deer which are most active at dusk and dawn, will cross streets with little or no care, and are very dangerous to motorists.
Truro has had wild deer in the large wooded Victoria Park and other wooded areas of town for a long time, but they have left the confines of the woods in the past decade or so and are now a nuisance animal.
