@ickleislands The difference is diminishing returns would have only hurt the people stacking it to extremes while not hurting someone with, say, one 15% ring
@GnomeSlicE when the attack speed nerf went live, people on the Blizzard forum said "I hate Blizzard for changing my 15% to 5%, why didn't they just make 15% attack speed do less"
@ickleislands Because they probably didn't want to change the cap... they just wanted to lower the effects of the current equipment. Maybe they have plans to patch it with faster weapons or something, you don't know. And besides, changing the number makes it easier for everyone else to understand.
hence my hilariously incorrect initial reaction to crit, considering I spent 300 hours playing a demon hunter with sharpshooter so I already know that crit caps at 100%

@fbueckert The Archery Passive with 2handers is too good, + you can typically get +12-15% attack speed from a Quiver in the offhand, meaning the DW bonus is basically nil.
