i get to my car and find a layer of ice on my windscreens. good thing that it's think so my windscreen wipers and rear demister could get rid of it. then there's the fogging up my front windscreen so it takes 5 minutes before the inside of the car is warm enough to not do that

then there's driving into the country where Kangaroos can jump out onto the road and destroy your car and idiots that don't turn off their high beams

the only good thing about night time driving is seeing the city lit up. but that's sorta negated when your more worried about the slippery considerations warning on the giant ass hill on the route

My partner recently switch off her 2 year old XPS to my 5 year old MBP for the bulk of her work because it operates much smoother and faster with exactly the same programs (office/chrome). The XPS is specced much higher, but Windows grinds it to a halt (and getting Office working on *nix is hard/not suitable)

Therefore I would expect the average person to have to try 5.2 million times before winning. To win on the first try or even the tenth or 100th or 1000th try is so exceedingly rare given those odds that it is much more plausible that there is either some way around those odds or the odds given are wrong.
