Q: Breaking out of a neverending battle without leaving the match

Recently, I was in the Battle Factory in Pokemon Emerald and was put up against a Pokemon with maxed out defense stats. I was using Latias, and had the opponent's attack at the minimum. Unfortunately, all my other Pokemon had fainted and we were both low on PP. Normally this wouldn't be a problem...

THe Go routes would have been even better if i hadn't left my GRT pass at home - the bus from Square One to home was a 25C which meant it only stopped at the universities, so I had to get cash fare for the bus

Why the fuck are these requirements assigned to both system A and system B? They explicitly refer to system B! Yes, I know system A was supposed to be delivered before system B, but that didn't happen due to technical issues with system A that didn't effect system B, and you wanted to prove system B using data from system A, but for these requirements, it just wouldn't work! </rant>

I really hate the guy that assigned the requirements and then wrote crappy test steps that barely fulfilled the requirements because he didn't look at the general system specification that these requirements sit atop. And I had thought he had all the test procedures written, but nope, basically only for system B.

So I've been playing through Call of Juarez: Gunslinger lately

boy oh boy are those duel sections annoying

because there are like 3 or 4 mechanics to keep track of, and they're organized in such a way that you can't see them all at the same time

you need to keep the enemy in focus using the mouse so you can aim better;

You need to keep your hand close to your gun using the Q and D keys (or A and D) so you can pull your gun fast enough

then you need to wait for your opponent to pull your gun so you can pull yours, all the while keeping your focus and speed meters as high as possible

(also wondering if I should expand on both sides of the bus once it reaches the southern edge of the factory, or keep it strictly east gravity and reserve that space for more smelting, or perhaps move the liquid processing -- AGAIN -- over to that side of the bus, since right now it's on the side that the factories want to expand into)

Factorio seems like a bad software design simulator. You start off with a simple design that accomplishes your task, then have to constantly adapt to changing requirements, and you are left with a giant sprawling mess that is ducktaped together that kinda/hopefully works and is a pain to maintain.

I am probably going to enable enigmail again. My mails do get automatically attempted to be decrypted when I click on them, but I have the touch mode enabled on my yubikey so it won't even attempt to unlock the pgp message if I don't tap. So... there shouldn't be any issues.
