There's a little boy at the start of the game, hiding in a vent. He magically disappears soon after, then you see him about to be killed by a Reaper's laser. Later still you see him in some nightmares.
Who is this kid? Is he part of Shepard's imagination? A product of stress and or psychological...
@tiddy No, I think their answers are mostly pointless speculation with no factual basis, and I think the 'indoctrination theory' is incredibly dumb in toto.
Also I question the constructiveness of a mod coming in, calling all current answers and their users dumb based on disagreement, and then not offering an additional answer
3) I'm not calling them dumb based on disagreement, I'm calling them dumb because their answers are poorly written, not comprehensive, and fail to cite any convincing evidence. There are answers that I disagree with that are comprehensive, well written, and backed up by facts, which I will happily not call dumb.
I have never played Mass Effect 1 or 2.
Do I need to play the first and second installments to understand the third?
Are there enough story recaps to fill in some of the back story?
Will I be lost?
A recording of our first Game On! Ultra-Hardcore Minecraft videos are posted, if anyone's interested. Mod development underway on The Engineering Bay chat room. ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UzTNJdFIxE
This year’s Fanfest focused on Dust 514, and the game proved to be wildly ambitious. Dust will link PC and PS3 players and mix the first-person shooter mechanics of console games with the complexity and intrigue of EVE Online.
@Loktar Yeah, but up until last year I only had dial-up, I had to use a router, and my brothers and I wanted to all be able to play games that we bought instead of buying them three times.
@Ullallulloo Tell me about it, I bought dinner for myself, but my girlfriend and her friend wanted dinner too. So I just stole a few meals so we could eat together
In Batman Arkham City you had to interrogate a thug and he would give you the riddler trophy locations but im playing in hard mode and i cant find any thugs to interrogate so how do you find all the trophies?
Edit: This contest officially ended last night. Winners are as follows:
The most viewed question, What do I do against the infamous “gank squad”?, was asked by Resorath.
The most viewed question from the ggClassic, What is the most important lane to carry a lane? (Mid, Bot AD, jungle, or Top), ...
How do I check the stats for my own units (hitpoints, attack etc)? For the other teams just clicking on their unit gives the stats. For my units I can see only the commands. How can I see their stats?
Let's say you are hard-core gamer and play WoW till max level and level-up several characters.
Then, you play SWTOR until max level and level-up several characters.
How much does it cost for WarCraft (e.g., WoW subscription, in-game items, any stuff in-game you want to buy with real money) on ...
There's a lot of reasonable explanations ranging from "People just guessed that they decided not to take action", "People felt that there were enough saving aspects on the answer that it helped the question", and "People forgot about the question".
@FAE I don't really feel bad for him. He made a big fuss of angry comments at the START of the contest, then proceeded to bump his question every hour with trivial edits for a full day. It was made community wiki on the same day he posted because of his constant editing. No tears shed
A while ago, I played the game Audiosurf on a friends computer and I remember it to be good fun. The problem is, if I remember correctly, the game only supports the usage of .mp3 files (and maybe .wav). Since I have ripped all my CDs to .flac files and do not want to make .mp3 copies of my colle...
@Resorath Hm, might be that it isn't very clear to people that it's an acceptable way to get views. We had someone doing this near the end of the ME contest too.
@Resorath Are you saying you foresaw this and purposefully didn't say anything because he was your competition? Or do you mean you thought your warnings would be unwelcome?
@OrigamiRobot ? The reason he didn't win was that he didn't have his "ggClassic" in his profile which would have given him second place for views. Thats not what I was talking about.
If someone is not purposefully using the site you should say something to them or bring it to someone else's attention, regardless of your participation in any contests
Contests do not change the rules of the site or the spirit of community moderation
@OrigamiRobot Based on his earlier hostilities towards me in a comment on meta (because I won the previous round of the contest), I didn't feel it was my place to step in on the issue
I initially read you remark as "I wanted him to get in trouble and didn't say anything because he was my competition." but I realized it could have also meant the other thing. I just wanted to be sure. :P
I think the real reason being that we gamers are a fickle bunch. On the one hand we'll make a big fuss about something we don't like and sign a petition, but then on the other hand we'll still go out and buy that game anyway and still put money in the dev's coffers.
I seem to remember a bunch of my gamer friends joining the "Boycott L4D2" steam group back in the day. And then on release day, at least 50% of them were playing it.
I know, but I am still saying.. Big whoop a game's ending might not have lived up to the hype.. but Blizzard is weathering StarCraft II pretty well also :D
@OrigamiRobot That has been a problem for decades.. And honestly EA are assholes.. But they are not alone.. Activision is up there.. and Vivendi... Well let me just say there is a REASON why they bought out two other companies and then went by THEIR name instead of their own.
@OrigamiRobot Yeah, I think the problem here is the main media sources seem to be focusing on EA's day one DLC and the ME3 stuff as "reasons" to dislike EA instead of the real problem, which is their treatment of employees, developers, and their business practices.
For example i've seen a premade where one had 1500 rating and the other was unranked, will the rest of the team be closer to the higher or the lowest? And what about the other team? Isn't matchmaking somehow unbalanced?
Some basic actions like kills, assists, healing, damaging buildings and capturing resource points reward XP, but are there other more obscure actions you can do to increase your XP gain and are there any bonus XP rewarded at end of round for winning or doing specific tasks?
