10:00 PM
Watching this video helped me beat it because I realized holding stations for optional foods actually make things more difficult.

@StrixVaria This and playing Oxygen Not Included have made me very suspicious of basements.

Meanwhile you're probably like "lol not even 40 gallons?"

ugh apparently this one sub I used to hang out on is reaching that phase where it gets to /r/all for the first time and gets the comment section filled with trolls.
I miss scrolling to comments and seeing wholesome conversations and not a warzone.

> They lose more than the losers.
[citation needed]
Also this assumes a non zero-sum game.
In a zero-sum game, the winners by definition lose less than the losers.

10:09 PM
I assume this is using "winners" to mean successful people, and "losers" to mean unsuccessful people, and is implying that the "winners" make so many more overall attempts that they both win and lose more than the "losers"

I just shat down my laptop

Cc: @Ronan
And holy shit
My perception of the world is rekt

@murgatroid99 I guess the assumption is also made that losers make less overall attempts than winners.
Which is a pretty big assumption.

@Yuuki That's what I said

Six of one, half-dozen of another.

10:23 PM
@fredley What game is this?

@Wipqozn Cook Serve Delicious 2, I think.

10:41 PM
@fredley I once booted up my laptop and the trackpad didn't turn on, I literally thought the pad itself was stuck depressed

10:51 PM
@fredley I guess that's one way to use your laptop on the toilet.
Although personally I wouldn't recommend.

Q: How is GearScore calculated in WoW?

MortenMoulderI am trying to calculate a specific item's gearscore based on an item. I am currently looking at the LUA files of the GearScore addon (download link), but I do not understand LUA and I think there is a lot of functions/methods in those files (specifically the weights.lua file). If I take two ver...

Q: I borrowed a PS4 game, loved it so bought myself a copy but it starts from the beginning (didn't transfer progress).

L.A.So I borrowed Horizon Zero Dawn from a friend and now I'm obsessed with it. As the new DLC is coming back soon, I figured I'd get my own copy so she can have it back in time for the release and I don't have to use someone elses. Now, this may be the issue, but I bought my physical copy online fr...

Q: Steps to the greybeards

Codelumps MMMcLeanI looked at a chat where people said there were about 730ish steps along the way, but I was wondering if they counted the steps in each row as one or counted all individual steps, because in some cases there won't be one step per stair, there can be 2-4 steps where the one whole stair is. Can any...

11:43 PM
@fredley really taking brexit hard, i see
@Frank you're doing constructiony things in canada right? do you use metric or imperial measurements when building things?

@GodEmperorDune Mostly imperial, I think.

but everything else is metric
why would you use imperial there?

We still measure living space in square feet, and rooms in feet.
@GodEmperorDune Because you guys.

ah dammit

If our biggest only neighbor didn't use this wierd arbitrary system and hold onto it with a deathgrip, we'd probably be fully metric.

11:47 PM
Nobody does floorplanning in metric yet
At least not here

@Unionhawk Okay, who the hell drinks beer through a straw?
Ignore everything else about this picture, what on earth is that?

@Yuuki maybe they are trying to smuggle beer into a non-alcoholic event and pass it off as similarly colored juice or soda?

@GodEmperorDune Presumably this is at a football game (thus the shirt + NY Jets cap) which are decidedly not non-alcoholic.

@Yuuki i guess they are just a hick

11:59 PM
@Yuuki I've heard of it as a method to drink way more
But it's an objectively stupid plan on every level

@Unionhawk Supposedly this was a thing back when beer wasn't filtered so well and grains would float on the top of the beer.
