@tiddy yeah I am disappointed they killed backwards compatibility, but I don't think they'll be able to do that going forward (PS4 HAS to include PS3 functionality IMO, otherwise they'll have a repeat of the last lame launch)

@tiddy I wish broadband was more easily available in the US. My parents live in an area where they can't get cable, DSL, or satellite.

So, unlike digital media I can't just redownload my media again, but unlike physical media I can't jsut take games with me

Nintendo has made something with all the bad things about digital content and all the bad things about physical content at the same time

I think that OnLive might be on to something

The thing I hate the most about visiting my parents is going from a 120Mbit connection back to dialup.

You can almost guarantee that the game publishers like EA/Activision would love if you could never own your game and just play it off their servers using cloud saves

@FAE you can do that with cloud saves too, RPGs are just weird and tend to have more saves. It's not like cloud saves limit you to one file

@BenBrocka One file limitations make me rage. I actually stopped playing Assassin's Creed because of that. I was so pissed that a current gen game only allowed you to have 1 save whereas I could have nearly as many as my memory card could hold on a PS1.

I don't think that's an actual console limitation though, Bioware just decided on it

@BenBrocka It's stupid on PC because ME1 didn't have a limitation at all, but they did for ME2 and ME3. :(

I believe it's possible on PC to just move older saves and then keep saving

@tiddy Yeah, that's what I had to do, it's still a dumb limitation though.

Q: Beating Chtulu in Magicka

The title says it all! Me and a friend are fighting against Chtulu since last month, and still we're not able to kill him! We're both using the tron-like mage, and always trying to cast lightings against the water (saw a youtube video explaining it) to max out the damage to the boss, but it does...

I don't think that one really needs the endings tag

Random limits are usually unnecessary and cause lots of frustration, lots of devs like to include them though, it limits edge case situations :/

So... the devs who made Frozen Synapse changed the ending of the game as a "commentary" on what's happening with ME3. I really like that game, but this feels kind of jerk-ish. Also people seem to have completely forgotten that this isn't unprecedented and Fallout 3 did it.
