I have about 6 desktops spread between the two, and plugging out the cable causes macOS to do all sorts of stupid things

Like merging and reordering desktops, some windows are resized proportionally while others retain their size even though the resolution has shrunk

But the worst part is that I can't move them around manually, otherwise I have to do the whole thing again when I plug the monitor back in

If I don't touch the window for some reason macOS would actually restore the window to their correct positions and sizes most of the time

I have engineers in my family on the F-35 project and I have a friend who did software work on the F-35C variant. The plane is quite capable of doing the job, but the problem lies mostly with the planning comission, DARPA, and senators looking to pork barrel the F-35 construction so that their districts make parts for it forever, above and beyond any realistic needs we could ever have.
