@BlueBarren If there's one thing I've learned working at Google, it's that tech people are going to use the product they like the best regardless of whether their company made it.
Other way around. It was originally a hacked-together fork of Mosaic. Later versions were callable as a library from explorer.exe and used to render parts of the file explorer and, in some cases, the desktop
You could probably take, say, IE6 and run it in wine, but you couldn't remove it from a windows system because then a bunch of other stuff would break.
@Beedrill well apparently IE and Edge are the only browsers that have direct access to file explorer or something like that. Apparently it's a big security flaw.
A few times now, when grinding out levels against Terrors, I've been attacked with Venin Claws, which inflict some sort of poison if the attack connects. If a unit is inflicted, they take 10 damage each turn. I haven't seen this effect wear off yet, so is there a way to remove it? Or am I stuck h...
I would still be concerned about access being available to your garage @Frank just because someone knows they can get in, knows what you have in there and is willing to steal stuff
It was a crime of opportunity, while we know the mower is mostly junk, they did not, and the mower was in the way of taking (most) everything else. It'll be easier to walk away with a bike next time, and they know they can.
@Yuuki No lock is going to stand up to a determined thief. But I've been watching a ton of lockpicking videos (the inner workings of locks is fascinating) and Masterlocks tend to have no security at all.
I played with a fidget spinner for like 30 seconds and it was neat because of the moment of inertia thing when I tried to turn it on a different axis while spinning. Then I was bored.
Also, get a weather resistant lock if it's going to be outside. The lock I bought a year ago didn't really make it through the winter before it started seizing up.
@Sterno Clicky pens are great because you can do so much more than just click them. You can wiggle them between your fingers. You can tap things with them. You can play with the clip.
@GnomeSlice that's a strong feeling towards a media player

@GodEmperorDune this was awesome. Thanks for sharing.

@Avery that's fine but you kinda gotta remember that if you say stuff like that people are likely to ask why, and if you don't want to actually talk about it, you shouldn't post about it here. In general, remember everything here is searchable, and public. So if you don't want it discussed or mentioned, we aren't the best people to talk about it with or around.
@Ash it helps to say it out loud (that some people suck) and it provides paper trail on when stuff happened if I ever need it. Thanks for your concerns, however.
Hmm. Just realized what I don't like about the ship name Infinity. Feels boring compared to the more elaborate names like Forward Unto Dawn, Pillar of Autumn, Spirit of Fire, and Dawn Under Heaven.
@Avery Fair enough, just figured a reminder wouldn't be a bad idea. I know we're all friends here, but I also know about having stuff you'd rather not have poked with a stick. So knowing when not to potentially cause yourself more harm by posting it here is also a good skill.
@BlueBarren I can source good padlocks online, but between shipping time/cost, and the price of the good locks: The wood on the door/frame is probably rotten to the point that if you get an expensive enough lock, the door is going to be the failure point.
maybe it was some teenager who needed money, so he figured he'd mow lawns, but had no lawnmower, so he took yours and after he's done with it, he might bring it back
@Frank question though; I know I've said padlock and hasp... But would that work out? You'd need to exit your car to re-lock the garage - and then if it's locked when you get home...
Problem is the door is so... off-kilter? that I don't think a deadbolt would work.
I'm specifically asking about the Anniversary skins as I heard somewhere sometime ago that the skins released just now will not be locked after the event is over, like all the Uprising, NY, X-mas, Halloween and Olympics skins.
I've seen the Olympics question, and as explained just two lines ago ...
Quite simply, where is cloth obtained from in A Dark Room, and if there is more than one place, is any of them faster? I have only been able to find that it is obtainable from traps, which seem quite slow at the moment (I have just built the workshop).
@Frank we can put a deadbolt on the existing door - but the wood on the frame is kinda rotten, and the garage leans, so... very little guarantee any deadbolt (new door or not) would stay aligned for long.
> That's why I design all my web pages with S-Expressions and my Lisp server converts them to HTML on the fly. It works great unless I ever need to hire a designer who wants to work with raw HTML and CSS, and then I'll be slightly hosed.
@PrivatePansy okay so say there's an over saturation so you find the posts boring but that doesn't mean you have to hate them like a lot of people seem to.
@BlueBarren Arguing from a devils advocate PoV (I've long unsubbed from r/pics, which is where I presume you're seeing this), the problem with posts like that (pictures of dogs getting adopted, cancer survivors, etc.) is that the images themselves are ordinary. It's the context that makes it 'interesting'
That creates two problems - 1. the stories are not unique. There's a million dogs getting adopted every day. What makes "your" picture so interesting? 2. It's so easy to make shit up. Just spin a story, find a picture on the internet and slap the two together
@PrivatePansy (not r/pics but r/gifs but yeah) What's wrong with ordinary? And how does something like a relative returning from deployment not give you enough context?
@BlueBarren The problem is basically that the image itself is not interesting, but the story. In which case a sub that's suppose to be about interesting images basically becomes a sub about boring images with interesting titles.
@TrentHawkins My name is @BlueBarren not Watson... so this is a little awkward. But I just compared @Wipqozn to a good neighbour. (I'm trying to be funny here but I don't really think any of this is coming off as funny)
If the answer is "no", it probably doesn't belong in a forum for pictures that are themselves interesting, and should be in a forum for illustrated stories.
I have an Apple mouse that has one button but it senses whether your finger is on the left or right side when you click. The scroll wheel also is "touchscreen". When I'm playing Minecraft, it will randomly scroll through my hot bar because of this. Is there a way to fix this or should i just buy ...
@ToxicFrog I mean, the big problem is that in the end, it's all HTML. And if your original representation is not HTML (or something close enough to it), then it's one more thing you have to learn.
@PrivatePansy Like all things in software development, the thing itself is great, it's other people mis/abusing the thing and using it to do things it wasn't designed to do that is terrible.
In SSB: Melee, Peach has an especially strong attack in the form of her down smash ("The Meat Grinder"), which as the wiki mentions, can deal 64.96% damage if all the hits land. When all the hits are landed, the opponent is effectively trapped in the down smash, taking huge amounts of damage, and...

What are the destruction mechanics for the doors in-game?
Do the doors splinter after a specific amount of damage is dealt? Or do some weapons more easily destroy doors than others?
This is a League of Legends Question
I recently asked this question:
Is attack speed or AD better against structures
It has recently come to my attention that armor penetration now affects turret damage, which runes are more effective for turret destruction at level 1-3?
And which items are m...

it's just that what's safe and not varies around the world. If you view the active time of maid cafe, it's nearly the polar opposite of bridge, so there is some expectable culture gap.
I highly doubt it. The question doesn't make a lot of sense as a math question either - what is alpha and beta?
I mean, they're usually defined as the roots of a quadratic equation, I think? But then what's tan doing there?
Oh, blah, I need to read the title more closely
Yeah, it sort of makes sense as a math question - if you ignore the horrible symbol soup and tan incorrectly written as a variable instead of a function
Just looked at the question on my phone, and it definitely should have been closed as quickly as it was. It is a pure math problem that is (ignoring formatting even) poorly presented.

@StevenVascellaro Is there any reason you decided not to answer the most general Mercy buff question since you were going to post the most general answer?
In Overwatch, there are 3 options for dealing with toxic players. Mute, Report, and Block.
Report is pretty self explanatory, but what's the difference between Mute and Block?
I have an Action Replay DSi, and cable, I have up-to-date software and a DSi which I use with it. I have seen other people on the internet hacking their action replays, using a file directory in the GUI. Is there some update I missed? I have no such directory, only settings and codes. (I am lo...
When I first put the DVD in the drive, I thought it would perform an upgrade and mostly leave the existing system as is. But no, it went ahead and formatted the drive (I had taken an image of the drive).
