i just realized something. back when me and my former-friend burned copies of PS1 games for one another the games i got from him always had problems (he never had problems with Final Fantasy VII and VIII, Megaman Legends 1 and 2 or Spyro) but Medievil 2, Soul Reaper and War Hogs always froze, at the time i passed this of a being the modded PS1 being shit like it always is.

a few weeks back when i tried to get Soul Reaper working on the Emulator i realized that there was a DRM thing on PAL games which cause the freeze up during the tutorial section. i just realized it's probably the same with Medievil 2 and War Hogs. not sure where Medievil 2 is but i saw War Hogs as i was digger for Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen. i really hope it's the same problem because then the fix should be easy and War Hogs was fun for those 2 levels

@GnomeSlice i can't think of a legitimate reason why a game would be released incomplete and remain like that aside from the tech not being what it needed to be to finish the game. in which case it may have been for the better not to have released it unless it was a a prototype of something with something like a report indicating the technological failures that currently exists which may be resolved in the future.

also there the cloning, an incomplete game being released and sold that gets alot of attention is going to generate inferior incomplete clones which then sullies the concept. then there's the first impression which for indies is the real crux of their advertising when they can't purposely generate hype like big name companies

i don't know, maybe i'm a traditionalist who sees things like Minecraft being the exception

@Arperum IIRC, that's also Nintendo's reasoning.

They want to get the gaming part down pat before they implement media features.

I used web browser on 3DS and Wii U to connect to the internet a couple of times through web-based "login to our network" systems but other than that

They might not have a standalone browser app, but hopefully they'll be some sort of barebones browser thing. Like iPhone does a pop-up thing when you need to authenticate on guest wifi.
