Timed missions still counting down while concealed, breaking concealment in weird ways, not being able to regain concealment, the one class designed to maximize concealment also has a mechanic that completely negates their affinity for concealment.

Q: why do you randomly use stims instead of fire in vats?

Long War 2 is like learning a new board game. It's complex, I don't get all the rules right away, and by the time I know what i'm doing, I'm half way into the game and learned that I'm going to lose no matter what I do and the hours are simply lost.

@MadMAxJr Yeah, that's why the Guerilla Tactics facility is so important.

I also turned off random starting stats because getting shotgunners/Assaults with low mobility is beyond frustrating.

Yeah, I turned it on because it was the only way to get a few people with 70-ish aim to start.

The flexibility in how you can equip someone though is great.

And weapon mods aren't single use. Also great.

@Wipqozn On regular difficulty, yes, the MECs and Gene Modifications are a bit OP. On Classic, they made other changes that made the game more difficult. I have never won EW on classic difficulty.

Or maybe I did once, with a lot of restoring. I can't remember.

Unlike most people, I don't have rose-coloured memories of that game, though. It did have a fantastic strategic layer (beats XCOM and XCOM 2 hands down), but the tactical layer was a stupid meat grinder.

One thing I liked about the boss monsters in the XCom 2 Alien Hunters DLC was that when you beat one and wear the suit you make from the hide, the first alien of that type you run into will make a will check and possibly terrorize or flee.
