It does similar things with names. For the longest time I didn't know which one was Sean Connery and which one was George Clooney.
I had two distinct faces and two distinct names, but my brain could not sort them.
If it makes you feel better, if I don't think about Bourne then I still tend to confuse Matt Damon and Brad Pitt.
I'm great with faces, horrible with names. I'll instantly recognize a face pretty easily, but you could tell me a name multiple times and I won't know it until I see the face.
Same here.
But I can remember a million things about 80s/90s cartoons.
Snagglepus
Exit, stage left, even.
It's a shame @IanPugsley's too young to share these memories.
23:05
He is only 1 year (exactly 364 days) younger than me.
@GraceNote @OrigamiRobot is one year older than me, he just has an eidetic memory for cartoons (i.e. pointless BS)
(i.e. things I'm jealous that he can remember)
Now I'm sad that I can't remember the name of the green girl in doug.
@IanPugsley You're 23. It's 2012. You barely existed in the 80s.
@GraceNote 24, grandparent
Best guild gimmick ever:
23:08
@IanPugsley Oh, looks like you're as ancient as I am, then.
Doug Funny, Roger Klotz, Skeeter Valentine, Patty Mayonaise, Chalky Studebaker, Bebe Bluff, ______........
@GraceNote you're like the Tardis (either "older on the inside," or "impossibly old")
@IanPugsley Given that I coined the "20 is the oldest age in existence, once you're past it then you're not nearly as old anymore" theory, I can buy that.
@OrigamiRobot Connie. You're looking for Connie.
Oh god help me.
@LessPop_MoreFizz Damn. I knew it was a C name. My brain couldn't get away from Cathy and I knew that wasn't it. Did it ever give her last name?
23:11
@IanPugsley All of you people make me feel old.
@OrigamiRobot Google says yes.
Age 20 is basically to kids what the year 2000 was to all the people in the 70s and 80s.
@LessPop_MoreFizz you're not old, just @GraceNote
@IanPugsley I am pretty sure I am older than @GraceNote
Benge? Yea I don't remember that.
We've met. He can confirm this that I am his junior.
Also, Doug's sister's name was Judy and their mom always called her Judith.
She played a video game to help pass her driving test.
Parallel parking was her nemesis.
@OrigamiRobot I remember that episode
@LessPop_MoreFizz Gramophones, how do they work?
It's probably aliens.
@OrigamiRobot Yes! The dinosaur one!
I'm younger than all of you! I've got my whole life to screw up! You've already done that.
23:16
@RonanForman Yea but you don't have Reboot. You are flawed.
@OrigamiRobot We had a Reboot club in my high school.
@GraceNote I would have joined. Is membership still open?
Officially sanctioned, weekly viewings.
@OrigamiRobot The club owner graduated before I did, alas.
Enzo, Bob, Dot, Fong, Megabyte, Hexadecimal (the last two combined to form Gigabyte)
@GraceNote The only club we had like that was for Redwall, the series by Brian Jacques
23:18
@OrigamiRobot SPOILER ALERT
user15026
My high school did not do clubs. We had hockey. That was really it.
@FallenAngelEyes I'd be a disgrace to existence if I didn't know what Redwall is. And a disgrace to my bookshelf, as it were.
@AshleyNunn In fairness, once you have hockey, do you really need anything else?
We didn't have many book clubs, though.
@GraceNote It was maybe uh, half a dozen of us. Also, we had a Redwall food party once. We made Deeper 'n Ever Pie, Meadowcream, candied rose petals, a bunch of other stuff as well.
23:19
@FallenAngelEyes Great, don't make me hungry. It's not even dinner time.
user15026
@LessPop_MoreFizz Hockey is a decent sport to watch, it is true. But that was really all the school did. Which was disappointing to those of us not athletically inclined.
@GraceNote It is absolutely dinner time.
@GraceNote Whenever they had a feast in those books, I got so hungry. The descriptions were great.
@GraceNote it's absolutely dinner time
@LessPop_MoreFizz GET OUT MY HEAD CHARLES
I was very sad when Brian Jacques passed away, even though I hadn't kept up with the series.
23:21
@IanPugsley Hey now, I'm the one that used proper punctuation and capitalization.
@GraceNote Also, The Long Patrol always made me cry.
@FallenAngelEyes Aye, I as well. He was one of the largest influences of one of my projects. The Hares of the Long Patrol...
Put ya guns on
@LessPop_MoreFizz to be fair, I don't think the Juggernaut probably minds his 'p's and 'q's
I like how his horse has handlebars and exhaust pipes like a Harley
that's also not the dubbed version
23:23
I think the last one I read was The Taggerung.
@RonanForman so how do you (the youtube channel) pick what games to do and such?
@BenBrocka Whim.
Epic whim?
@FallenAngelEyes I've got Salamandastron that I need to read.
@GraceNote Oh, that one's good.
At least in my faded, high school memory, it is.
23:26
Heh
D'aww... just got an email: No hot water over sprink break.
I love the inherent bias in this lede:
> Adolescent extreme sports enthusiasts can no longer count on Inwood Hill Park as a training facility after the Parks Department blocked off a totally sweet slide that has injured 16 kids.
@LessPop_MoreFizz Heh.
@LessPop_MoreFizz ha
@LessPop_MoreFizz Pfft
23:30
KA-BOOM
I assumed Grace was lighting a fuse.
If there's one power-up I always have on me, it's Remote Bombs.
user15026
Yeah, I am not sure if that is a really badly formatted answer, or just garbage.
@fredley Actually... looking at the other answes...
Flag those as spam, not not an answer.
23:33
I flagged it, but now I am not sure if it is in fact not an answer.
@RavenDreamer Don't think it is spam though.
Just VLQ, and no clear way to clean it up.
@RavenDreamer Ok, I read through each of the flag descriptions, thought not an answer fitted best
@LessPop_MoreFizz Yeah... on second thought...
The description for spam implied advertisement
user15026
Yeah, I think it is just a VLQ with serious format issues.
@fredley Except it looks like it is an answer.
23:34
@GraceNote remote bombs are so cheap. And so fun.
user15026
I mean it is pretty unsalvageable. But it looks like an answer.
Like, it should be deleted, because it's not salvagable, but it's not spam.
As long as we're talking Bomberman
@LessPop_MoreFizz Low quality then I guess
@BenBrocka Of course
23:35
@LessPopMoreFizz it just needs to be stuck in fixed font
If you open it, you can see it is formatted
@RavenDreamer I'm not sure if that helps it without linebreaks.
Oic.
crashes through insert coin
I still love jigglybombs though
No matter how absurdly impractical they're crazy fun
jigglybombs or jigglyboobs?
The ones that explode
23:37
@LessPop_MoreFizz Fixt it.
well that's upsetting. I was working on a meta post for ITG but for some reason it didn't save most of it.
Most annoying.
YOUR BOOBS EXPLODE?!?!? IMPOSSIBLIRU
2
@Wipqozn Text Editors are your friend.
@Wipqozn :(
2
@LessPop_MoreFizz Indeed. It's supposed to save revisions, but apparently it's faulty.
@Fredy31 Ono, I hab drop watahmeelon!
@LessPop_MoreFizz I dunno, the Tron question was pretty bad
I always think you're talking about Internet Tough Guys when I hear ITG
...oh, that's PRASHANT P.
@GraceNote I take it he has a history too?
23:41
@GraceNote that's pretty bad that they didn't know it but impressive that they mocked it up
@fredley You know, I'm not really sure how to answer your question.
with a gradient background no less
I mean, it's technically a valid question, but… it's like asking how to play rogue in vi.
@Ben Pretty much whim. Most of it is recorded from Game on! and @Wipqozn organises that bit. And people suggest stuff, then we play it.
I wonder when the first part of the Spleef tournament will be up
23:43
First part?
The answer is "You can't, unless you write some code to make it happen"
Video part
What's the other part?
@RonanForman When I was good about releasing videos, trolling for brand new, likely popular flash games was how I got a good amount of attention
Now I do more of the whim thing, generally meaning way less videos and a giant backlog of requests
23:44
@LessPop_MoreFizz Aw man Super Mario 63 is my favorite game ever
StarBlox 65 is pretty sweet too
Interesting the hard part is organising people to play this stuff.
@LessPop_MoreFizz Oooh I see.
Hi @MathildeSecordel!
@John Also, the edit history on the first one I linked too.

thanks,,

PRASHANT :)
Yeah, we're gonna find that game all right.
@LessPop_MoreFizz Wow...
The American Company makes some pretty sweet games
I liked that one where you shoot people
23:46
@BenBrocka Also the one where you build things.
And the one where you go real fast in a car
I hear that's pretty popular on the decentralized information network
Oh! Oh! And the one where you drive a car really fast! That one was awesome.
@Fredy31 You just beat me to that.
23:47
@LessPop_MoreFizz And now I'm glad I didn't post it.
@Fredy31 :(
Still :)
@Fredy31 For you, maybe.
co-op... mmo... bullet hell shooter?
wat.
23:47
@Brant Free to play. Those are good words.
That seems totally NOT generic.
@RonanForman If there's something short I'll play it...I generally just don't like finding games to play. Games I actually like often end up too long and such
@LessPop_MoreFizz I would play this
wait
@LessPop_MoreFizz wat. I have to download this to see
you weren't just being facetious
23:49
@GraceNote Ignore that. n_n
@BenBrocka @Brant just linked it!
You can play it on the web too, at realmofthemadgod.com (if you're on a mac or something)
Coop bullet hell can be pretty sweet though, I loved the Gundemonium game that lets you do that
goes install
@LessPop_MoreFizz yep, downloading it
23:50
@brantb Mac version coming soon! (Tweeting this from a Mac!) :D
Here's hoping it doesn't join the ranks of the 40 or so Steam games I own and have never played
damn steam sales and bundles
@BenBrocka This.
@BenBrocka Only 40? You're lucky.
@BenBrocka Only 40?
That's probably a conservative estimate at this point
23:51
That's only like one and a half Whatever Complete Packs
I don't particularly want to know though

Q: How can I change my default login to the Cerberus network (EA Online)

SternoWhen I originally bought and installed Mass Effect 2 two years ago, I had a different password to log in to my EA Online account. When I bought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, I changed my password to something that was theoretically more secure since I didn't want all of my epic loots st...

@Brant Thanks for pointing that out. I'll check it out sometime in... April.
Ohhhh complete packs...yeah I have at least one developer's catalog I played like one game from
@FallenAngelEyes Still burning the Mass Effect oil, hey?
23:51
The next 2 weeks are filled with Mass Effect 1 and 2 for me, then ME3...
My laptop isn't that great for many modern games
@FallenAngelEyes 14 days!
Waaaaait.
Mass Effect 3 comes out over my spring break.
@RavenDreamer Yep. Finished my first playthrough of 1 though yesterday! Working on completionist now for 1.
Hot damn!
23:52
@RavenDreamer 14 days!
@FallenAngelEyes I need to do that. Was planning to start tomorrow. Hope I have enough time. :/
Good. Then you are all excellently positioned to find the answer to the question I just asked.
The worst part is that their stupid login screen doesn't accept "tab" to move to the next field. You have to click like some kind of neanderthal.
I think my steam collection is breeding. I don't even remember some of these games.
7
I should be productive, be seeing you, ladies and gents
23:55
Au revoir
@Brant Yes or no?
