Q: Will increasing spawn area increase guardian spawns? [1.11.2]

I've been building this Guardian farm on a Multiplayer server. I cleared out all the water and removed the temple itself. Then, I built the glass box in the middle and filled it with water. Guardians do spawn a bit, but I want to higher the rates if possible. And yes, I have lit up all nearby...

Q: How to open "extremely sturdy" door?

There is many doors in California described as "extremely sturdy": No skill can help to open such doors. I have found some inventive advices to open them: placing character with meson cannon lock in front of the door but I doubt it's the best way. Also, any explosive weapon doesn't help.

@badp backasswards challenge done. Got lucky and had tech 10 until I left the womb. Had to do the higher floors without it, but had gotten myself daddy longlegs and guppy state by then by sheer dumb luck.

My damage was terrible, but daddy longlegs killed, and guppy gave me flight.

@badp Start with megasatan with some items (one per floor in the game), then beat him, go up a floor, last item in itemgrid on the right poofs, beat satan, fight through dark room to first room, go up a floor, item poofs, beat that floor in reverse, as a reward, an item poof, continue like that.

You do get boss item drops and devil/angel rooms every floor.

Or I got a devil deal every floor anyway.

you basically are horribly underequipped for the mega satan fight.

but random items, so you might get lucky. and you can sure hope the good items are in the top of your list.

new items you find, you keep though.

The megasatan fight is a lesson in frustration though. Your damage is terrible and your loadout is completely random.

@SaintWacko That one uses pre-afterbirth rebirth as base. So there is a lot of stuff not in it.

dammit, this april fools challenge is utter nonsense. you pick up a golden key -> randomly golden bombs, pîck up a nickelk, 2.5 spirit hearts added, pick up dime, 10 keys added. grab some passive item from the item room, get an active one (flush, which should fill the room with poop, using it resultyed in a single red heart drop.

o look, I picked up a key, got half a spirit heart again. wtf

Q: How does Apollyon's starting item "Void" work?

In the new DLC, the new character Apollyon starts with an item called "Void". It's an active item with 6 charges, but when I activate it, nothing seems to happen. How do I use this item?
