After the update to Android 6.0 the steering/looking around in my VR games seems to be a bit buggy...
I'm using a Sony Xperia compact Z3 and the problem is the following:
In apps such as Google Cardboard I can look around, but after some random time, the view will center at a certain place, which...
I don't really think that businesses should interfere with how their employees look. Being clean is important, but the dresses, facial hair and hair color etc shouldn't matter except for front end employees.
@Arperum Yeh, I've seen situations where hair is a problem where they interact with customers regularly, but I'm pretty isolated at my desk so no problemo, hopefully.
They got really mad at me one time when I wore shorts on a 'casual Friday' because it was about 85 outside and about 80 inside (just my row of cubicles didn't have AC)
@S.Wessels Also depends on what kind of customers. If you end up as a consultant in a bank firm, they'll be a lot stricter than some other types of business
I'm trying to create funny pvp maps for my friends and I. I would like to go deeper and try a lava survival map.
The goal is basically to make the lava go x block up every x time/tick (or replace any air block at a given height + 1 every x time/tick)
How can I achieve this ? Is there any plugi...
I decided to listen to Metallica's discography during my commute this week after realizing how many memorable riffs they have. I'm half way through their 3rd album and it's much better than I ever gave them credit for.
(sigh) I think I may have missed a few changes when I merged one branch into another. This wouldn't be much of an issue if I were using git or hg, but I'm using svn.
@twobugs Oh good, I was starting to think that I wouldn't be able to muster the amount of intense dislike and would have to forget that guy ever existed.
@twobugs Objectively speaking, older games do have "uglier" graphics than modern games. This does not mean they are bad games and it doesn't mean they can't have a good aesthetic (which is the more important thing).
In Fallen London, I have reached "Connected: The Widow" to 30.
Is there a point other than the loot to keep working for her?
Is there a maximum to the "Connected" quality or does it keep going on forever? I have not had a unique form of interaction with her in a while.
Do the things that apply...
I just love the idea that in this horrible universe full of monsters and evil gods and ridiculous stuff there are just normal dudes sent to die en mass

Holy shit. Red flag so yuge it blots out the sun --> Trump's Political Advisers Wanted to Vet Him. He Said No. http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2016/05/trump-said-no-opposition-research-vetting
@Yuuki Story Time: tens of people people raged at us when we delayed the release of translation of episode 3 of Life is Strange. We were neither officially hired nor had any gains of money. We ended up delivering it incompletely (%40 done or smth, the rest are totally %100 to every single details) and told people who said that it was incomplete to blame the people who wanted it early and spammed us.
> Though Trump would not authorize an extensive research effort to identify what oppo might be most harmful to his candidacy, his campaign did prepare responses to obvious lines of attack against the billionaire.
@ardaozkal See, here's the thing. I might get personally frustrated that I might not be getting a mod or something. That's a simple emotional reaction. But I'm sure as hell going to keep it to myself.
"I work with my mother, to sell fruits and vegetables. It's fun most days, but hard work."
I am SO tired of hearing this line, and countless others, whenever I walk by someone. I've taken to avoiding people in Skyrim just so that they won't stop and tell me who they are, what they're doing, and...
do you know Minecraft?!? If yes, did you know that 2 worlds with the same seed (a 20-digit number) ARE EXACTLY THE SAME... sorry, but I'm tending to downvote you... — Rudolf Jelínek14 mins ago
No idea. I downvoted because it seems to be more curiosity than a problem. Why others did so? No clue. As a side note, pointing at off topic questions as justification for less downvotes isn't going to work. Those will be closed and deleted. Yours seems to be on-topic, just with questionable utility. — Frank3 mins ago
Is questioning the utility of things asked really helpful?
@PrivatePansy it does and doesn't, it halves the resolution of each viewpoint so it doesn't render more pixels, but it probably does require 2 calls versus 1 each time
Animating sprites (versus drawing multiple sprites for an animation) is a new thing that actually requires way more calculation than animating a 3d model
