There just isn't enough going on. Only one character really seems to be going through any sort of development, and nothings really happened. I feel like he should have just trtied to wrap things up in four books.

Until this last book I would have given the series a recommendation. The series isn't great, but it's good, and the books themselves are fairly short, so they're quick reads too.

And the character of Gedar is really great, and I always look forward to his POV chapters.
