Given for example, a Hydrogen atom (that can only have 1 bond max), that is sitting on a bonder next to two other atoms that are also on bonders and have available bonding slots, how is it determined which atom the Hydrogen ends up bonding to? I've tried experimenting with it being a priority or...
@RonanForman I could be down for that, but the variance in power you can have may make it frustrating for some people. I don't really have a desire to start a new char :/
@RonanForman Well if one person's one-shotting everything, in can make it so people don't feel as much character progression. Depends on how people like to play, pretty much.
Though I probably can't make it this weekend anyway
Can maps be cloned in SMP without cheating? (i.e. without editing saves or using /give or similar commands).
Can this be done only at creation time (all the clones are created together), or can they be also cloned later (you already have a map and you clone it)?
Well there is problem with B:AC and when you exit the game your savegame files disappear.
I heard about the problem and i played the game without exiting...at that point the fix was unknown now it is solved but i already played most of the game and at one point the game just had to crash.
I fix...
is it acceptable to post a question that you intend to answer? ie, nobodys asked about a game mechanic in SR3 that I think I have a good strategy for, can I post both the question and the answer, or is that frowned upon?
> What do you do when your girlfriend cheats on you with a guy who really likes Alkaline Trio? Well, you could cry about it, or you could sell the engagement ring you got for her on eBay and use the money to buy a really heavy, hyper-realistic suit of armor, just like Master Chief’s in Halo.
There's a combination of the fact that we were never the best at applying it everywhere it did apply to (I'm pretty sure there are a lot of TF2 questions where it would've been appropriate but never got tagged), but also the issue of "Does it need to be just weapons"
I see it as a very concrete subdivision of questions that some people find quite important. However, it happens that this isn't necessarily a subdivision that people will use
I just wanted to know if the bonuses translated to dual-wielding as well, or is it pointless to even get if you aren't going to only use one weapon at a time?
Insurance Fraud is one of the side activities in Saints Row 3. I'm planning on using it to get the Windshield Cannon challenge, but that means that I'm going to have to gain money in insurance fraud very quickly to make up for the time I spend goofing around and flying through windshields.
Wh...
It involves one of the cheats... I can't remember which one. Might have been 'low gravity'. Anyway, for some reason, during insurance fraud minigames, the effect of the cheat got changed basically enabling you to get hit, and fly across the entire game, with an uncapped speed.
Which you could use to hit another car and go even higher.
Yeah. He goes so fast, I never got any of them done during the classes.
Anyway, I completed yesterday's, and handed in one of the past ones I did on Sunday, and he said I could hand in the Game On! splash screen in place of another one.
@Powerlord Our first game in our Game Development 1 class was "Apollo 13: The Reckoning", wherein you play the restructured Apollo 13 on a mission to the moon, fighting off Space MIGs and Space Zeppelins until you discover that the man on the moon is Stalin himself.
@Mana The first step in these things is generally deciding "How am I going to incorporate the theme?" The main choices are "As a core mechanic" and "How it affects the characters"
For example, in a murderous scenario choicing to the latter, are you playing the advocate, or are you handling the aftermath? Or maybe even a potential victim?
@Mana how 'bout this game with a simulated chat room where you interact with these characters that come in and out of the story, which eventually turns to solving this murder mystery thing?
@GnomeSlice That's the thing. I don't know yet what I want to do. I'm considering a top-down shooter of some sort but it's more of a musing than anything. I need to just figure out something.
We once had a game jam where our theme was "Environmental manipulation". We ended up creating a puzzle game where you play as a poltergeist that plays the saw in order to create unique spell effects.
If murder is supposed to be one of the themes, you probably want something more focused on a single, or small number of murders; a top-down shooter would probably lend itself much better to a 'shoot everything that moves' deal.
The guy in the general goods store in Whiterun has a creepy voice and I'd like to satisfy my disturbedness by giving him an axe to the head. If I do this, do I lose the general goods vendor in Whiterun forever?
Also, do I get access to the shop inventory if I kill him?
@GnomeSlice It's a bill with good intentions to stop piracy but which in its current state is far too broad and if passed could be abused to ruin all sorts of things on the internet.
@GnomeSlice Basically, it lets "copyright owners" wave dismissively at a site and then it becomes inaccessible from within the US and the site can no longer use US based payment processors or advertisement companies
@GnomeSlice Well, the companies funding the law don't post things on their own sites. But heaven forbid that companies other than those use those same laws.
Here's the thing: The EU backed off the whole "US Controlled DNS is bad" thing a few years ago because the US Government promised not to abuse said power. So, here comes a law that proposes said government do exactly what they said they wouldn't.
And so, up comes the big "Why does the US control DNS debate" again.
I'm looking for an online game with a persistent world where you are allowed to code (and add) your own 'players' (it can be in any language / script).
A sort of RTS but for bots.
Does that even exist?
Thanks!
ps. I really didn't find good tags, please do change them if there are any better :-/
In B specs I'm trying to win an American championship that only allows American cars.
I've tried with a Pilot Level 30 and a NASCAR car, but he can't win.
I'm wondering if there is any American car faster (or with more performance points) than the NASCAR cars to use in this race?
@agent86 I believe questions can be moved without mod approval from the target site. I'm basing this on the fact the question was moved here and not closed.
I'm sure @badp would know more though, seeing as how he is a mod.
> FIRST AMENDMENT- Nothing in this Act shall be construed to impose a prior restraint on free speech or the press protected under the 1st Amendment to the Constitution.
"Hey, people say that laws that conflict with the consitution aren't valid, so let's write it down: 'does... not... conflict.' Here! Done! Constitution taken care of!"
Obviously we'll have to see where things are in a month or two. Once people find us, do they keep coming back, or do they just see as some random site on the internet that had an answer for them and that they promptly forget about?
You get 50 rep on Area 51 for following through with it, but there's no penalty for not other than not being able to commit on another site until it launches or fails.
