@Frank The fun part is that it took the client an hour to man up and tell them one specific user did something stupid, remote checking all users who were active at the time takes a stupid amount of time.

@Arperum Yep. I know the feeling.
One of our branches loves to play fast and loose with, "One user per login", and then complain when we lock them down.

Speaking of, I have to go check that branch now, to see if they're adhering to that standard.

Hershey's chocolate is so bad.
I had a coworker from England visit once, and at a team offsite event, they had a fire with smores. After explaining to him what smores were, we went to the fire and he saw the Hershey's and said "I thought you said these were made with chocolate?"

@StrixVaria I remember going to NY aged 12 or so. Hershey's store appeared to be magical chocolate fantasy land. Was beside myself with excitement until I realised they weren't selling chocolate, they were selling foil-wrapped poop.

2:06 PM
He also said that graham crackers tasted like "digestive biscuit".

@StrixVaria tbf, digestive biscuits taste pretty good imo
Although it's about as bland as a taste can be

@fredley Yeah that wasn't a bad thing.
I just found the name weird.

grainier, less sweet shortbread
For reference, shortbread:
Shortbread is fucking amazing

That looks pretty good.

@StrixVaria It's very sweet, and weirdly creamy in texture. If I'm giving gifts to people elsewhere in the world, I usually give them this. Nobody dislikes it, regardless of culinary culture.
You can also get 'Millionaire's Shortbread', which looks like this:

2:10 PM
Is that chocolate and caramel?

@StrixVaria Yes. Yes it is.

Is it salted?
Chocolate + caramel + salt = best flavor combination imaginable

@StrixVaria Since salted caramel became a 'thing', I bet you can get that.

Better than chocolate + peanut butter
Which is incredible; I never thought that would be beaten.

Better than chocolate + steak sauce?

2:12 PM
Considerably.

@StrixVaria Good lord. Chocolate + steak sauce has been king ever since it beat out honey + vinegar.

Good morning everybody

Are you being serious?

@StrixVaria I make weird sandwiches.

I can't tell if you're just putting random-ass flavors together.
Or if these are things you actually eat.

2:13 PM
What a nice day.

@StrixVaria Specifically only on sandwiches.

I could see honey + vinegar on a sandwich.

Branston Pickle and Cheese or gtfo

I'm still not getting chocolate + steak sauce, though.
Personally I like chips on sandwiches (@fredley: crisps).
Although french fries (@fredley: chips) are good on the right kind of sandwich.

@StrixVaria weirdo
@StrixVaria weirdo
Potato does not go in bread

2:15 PM
@StrixVaria @TrentHawkins does this with burgers.
I find it strange. But whatever. I put cheese on a ton of stuff.

@Unionhawk Not sure actually charging for this is particularly legal.

@Frank Also good with cheese steaks.

Note for Americans, this is how you cheese:

@fredley That looks like...jam?
I recognize the cheese, but I don't know what that other stuff is.

@Frank It's Pickle, a type of chutney
Slab of cheese, and some stuff to eat the cheese with
traditional British lunch
(Ploughman's)

2:17 PM
@Yuuki ...

@fredley i find the lack of meat very depressing

@Frank I also sometimes splash rootbeer ontop of the fries on the burger.

@Rapitor Normally you'd have a good slab of ham hock too
Or a pork pie

Pork Pie's are the most delicious/grossest sounding food

2:18 PM
As an admittedly weird fooder, you all food weird

@StrixVaria Agreed. In specific cases. And with well made fries.

> It consists of roughly chopped pork and pork jelly sealed in a hot water crust pastry. It is normally eaten cold.
Mmmmmmmm. Cold pork jelly.

@fredley that sounds beyond disgusting, i must try it

@Rapitor It's amazing

2:19 PM

@fredley That almost sounds like chicken pot pie. Which is the stuff.

@Frank Yeah, similar concept, but with more pork jelly.

@GnomeSlice I feel like I had this on my phone for free at some point and that it was terrible.

@fredley reminded me of italian easter pie

the mobile port is laggy and shitty

2:20 PM
@GnomeSlice It was the depth I found awful, not the performance.

@Rapitor That's a Quiche
assuming it's made with eggs

eh, I enjoyed it

This is the canonical reference for British food:

nice casual dugeon crawler

2:21 PM
@fredley sort of. it's a lot of eggs, but also a lot of cheese and lots of italian mets

@Frank spam

@Frank Low Quality

it's a heart attack, but a delicious one

@GnomeSlice It's definitely not spam.

wat

2:21 PM
@Rapitor Yeah, we call that Quiche Lorraine

@fredley We're pretty darn inconsistent on straight up gibberish.

@StrixVaria aww man, did i just waste $3.75?

@Rapitor What is that?
Ham cube pie?

@Frank tbh, I don't care. If I see that stuff in the mod queue it gets deleted, I don't care how you put it in the mod queue.

@OrigamiRobot look up one message

Q: How do I get armor to add a potion effect?

Silentscope88Is it possible to get a specific piece of armor to add a specific potion effect when worn? Would I be able to make a pair of boots give the jump boost potion effect when worn? Q: Is there a way to know the production and consumption rates of houses and factories?

user1337Farms produce stuff (tea, vegetables, rice) at certain rates while houses consume them at certain rates (to fulfull needs). Factories also take such commodities and make something else at certain rates (such as rice and vegetables which are turned into... sushi or something). Is there any way to...

@Rapitor He can't see that message

Up one from what?

user15026
@frank I say low quality, but at the end of the day, it's gonna be deleted no matter what we name it.

@AshleyNunn Yeah, but I was just wondering if we had a set policy of handling it.
Because sometimes it gets the spam/offensive hammer, sometimes it doesn't.

2:23 PM
@OrigamiRobot it's an italian easter pie.

@MattGiltaji I don't know. Someone must like the game.

I'm gonna keep calling it ham cube pie.

I don't remember the details of why I didn't like it.

@Frank The policy is 'flag it until it dies'

I just remember thinking that it was shallow.

2:24 PM
a really big quiche.

@fredley This, I can approve of.

user15026
@frank from what I remember of discussions with the powers that be, those posts are why low quality is a thing.

user15026
Low quality tends to be used as a "this needs edits and I can't be bothered to do it" which frustrates the crap out of me

@Frank There's a meta somewhere saying you can use spam flags, since then it'll be deleted automatically after so many flags. However, like @fredley and @AshleyNunn said...it really doesn't matter. Whatever flag you use will get it deleted eventually.
I usually just spam flag + delete vote.

and now I hunger.

2:26 PM
@AshleyNunn It is

@Wipqozn I usually just use the offensive flag, for the "unfit for respectful discourse" reasoning.

Low quality isn't meant for "this needs to be edited", it means "nothing can save this"

I don't even know what a quiche is. I've heard the word so i know it's food, but that's it.

user15026
@fredley I scrolled up and now I am making breakfast of a bagel with good aged cheddar and Branston Pickle and it is your fault

@Frank offensive and spam flags are the same thing behind the scene, I believe

2:27 PM
@AshleyNunn YESSSSSSSSSS
THIS IS THE CORRECT WAY TO CHEESE

I want a ncie breakfast. I just had cereal.

@Wipqozn They sure seem to be counted the same; you can't flag a post as both.

I'll be having them for the next 2 days tyhough

But @fredley has now given me tacit permission to use ALL the flags on gibberish. :P

@Frank Sounds like a plan!

2:27 PM
@Frank tacit explicit

user15026
@fredley a friend showed me the joy of Pickle recently, and now I am addicted.

@AshleyNunn Pickle and mature cheddar is so good. I just had lunch, but now I'm hungry again.

user15026
Also, a proper Ploughman's lunch is one of my most favorite things.

user15026
@fredley sorry, but you started it

@AshleyNunn wat dis is?

2:29 PM
There's a place next door that serversbrunch... I wonder if they are open...

Sometimes when the fridge is empty, I'll go and buy a fresh warm baguette, a block of mature cheese, and sit there with a knife and a jar of pickle working my way through.

New Nightboat today. Awesome.

@AshleyNunn :(

> Two eggs, choice of two meats (bacon, sausage or ham), two mini pancakes, homefries and toast
> An English muffin topped with back bacon, poached eggs and home-made hollandaise, served with home fries
> Scrambled eggs tossed with chorizo sausage, tomato, green onion and harvarti cheese, served with home fries.
WHY AM I READING THIS MENU
I hate you @fredley. This is all your fault.

@Wipqozn Because all of that sounds awesome.

user15026

@fredley i'd rather eat two baguettes by themselves, but i was never a cheese person

user15026
@wipqozn I want all of that.

@Wipqozn Why are you copying said menu for us to read?

@Wipqozn Yes please.

2:31 PM
@Arperum So you suffer too, obviously

Does homefries mean hashbrowns in this case or just fried potato chunks?

@Wipqozn I sort of ate thrice already today, so not that hungry even after all this talk.

@OrigamiRobot I think hashbrowns

@MattGiltaji You've probably never had real cheese

2:32 PM
@MattGiltaji We are no longer friends.

Either is acceptable

user15026
@OrigamiRobot usually potato chunks

@fredley define real cheese

@AshleyNunn vs @Wipqozn: FIGHT

user15026
(by hash browns you mean shredded potato, yes?)

2:32 PM
@OrigamiRobot Everyone uses it differently, so there's nothing really to fight about.

@Rapitor Un-processed cheese. Preferably hard, and so old it's crunchy

@fredley cheese does not agree with my insides

@AshleyNunn oh, he might

1 min ago, by fredley
@MattGiltaji You've probably never had real cheese

@Frank :(

2:33 PM
@AshleyNunn Yes. Shredded, fried potato

@fredley crunchy and cheese doesn't sound like it mixes.

@fredley Some people are lactose intolerant and get sick when eating cheese.

That's nto what I mean

Hash Browns:

2:33 PM

Pretty sure that's what they mean

@Arperum i am lactose intolerant but that doesn't stop me

@Wipqozn No

@fredley These are unhealthy and greasy and oh so good.

user15026
@fredley sometimes Canada is weird and decides hash browns are the potato chunk things and not the shredded things

2:34 PM
@Arperum :(

My image is what I call hashbrowns

@Arperum You can take an enzyme capsule before eating stuff to make it not make you sick.

user15026
I prefer the shredded things.

@fredley Those are hashbrowns too

@Wipqozn those are not hash browns

2:34 PM
@OrigamiRobot These are so good.

user15026
@gnomeslice that doesn't work for everyone

@fredley I'm not though, so I can safely eat cheese and drink milk :D

This is worse than biscuits

In Canada hashbrowns refers to several different types of ways of making potatoes

I have heard people call all those pictures homefries

2:34 PM
@AshleyNunn I've never met anyone it didn't work for, but that's only been like 5 people.

^

Even the Ood

Including me.

home fries are potato chunks

user15026
2:35 PM
@wipqozn which makes ordering breakfast so tricky because you get surprise potatoes

@GnomeSlice what capsules are these?

ok, back to work until the chtulu is gone.

user15026
@gnomeslice I have one friend they work for, another who they don't.

@AshleyNunn Shredded is the way to go.

2:35 PM

@MattGiltaji i use these

Basically a caplet that has lactase in it

Or those patties.

@fredley ALLOW ME TO BE SLOW. YOU NINJA.

2:35 PM
Hash brown patties are concentrated fluffy goodness.

You take it right before you eat the stuff, and your body uses the stuff in the caplet to digest it.

@Rapitor I just call those fried potatoes.

@Arperum All mods are ninjas
Not just badp

I don't use the word homefries for anything

@Wipqozn what have you done Q-Q

2:36 PM
You can get cheaper generic ones at costco

user15026
@frank I think I need to make potato pancakes again soon.

@AshleyNunn Sounds yummy.

Roast potatoes best potatoes though

@Serverfrog He quoted a quote?

In Duck Fat

user15026
2:36 PM
If various friends weren't feeding me today all day I would say today.

uuuuuunnnfnffffff

@OrigamiRobot weetabix

This is a hashbrown if you're a monster

@AshleyNunn Oh god yes. SO much want.

user15026
2:36 PM
@frank they are! If you haven't made them, you should try sometime, I think you would love them

@AshleyNunn Probably. But I am making cheeseburger soup this weekend!

user15026
@arperum they're one of my favourite lazy day foods

(And doubling the amount of cheese)

@GnomeSlice cool, i'll hit up target and give it a try

@Arperum he quoted a quote where it was quoted that my ood was moved

user15026
2:37 PM
@frank I need the recipe for that again because once I have another job I think that might be a celebration soup dinner

@AshleyNunn They are straight up one of my favorite foods, especially with the cheesesauce made from the cheese my mom makes.

@MattGiltaji If you get lactose free milk, it's mostly just regular milk with lactase added in, sometimes just having some of the milk can be enough to let you eat a small amount of cheese or whatever

@AshleyNunn I will happily send you a link.

user15026
Or maybe when my Nessie ladle comes

my aunt says that if she mixes the pills with the milk she gets sick, so watch out for that
doesn't bother me that way though
they work really well for me

2:38 PM
This si terrible. I'm so tempted to go get breakfast, but I'm lazy.

user15026
@gnomeslice also aged cheeses often don't have lactose in them and a lot of lactose intolerant people can eat them no problem.

@AshleyNunn I didn't know that. Cool.

user15026
@arperum cheese sauce? :D

Also there's snow everywhere

@AshleyNunn jelly

2:39 PM
@Wipqozn delivery

I'm not even sure if the sidewalks are shoveled or the restaurant is open

user15026
@gnomeslice I have a friend who used to be a cheesemaker, she knows all kinds of cool shit like that.

@Rapitor I don't think they deliver

@AshleyNunn how aged does it have to be?

user15026
@MattGiltaji I forget, but I will ask!

2:40 PM
This is what cheese looks like:
Crumbly. Hard. Flakey.

@AshleyNunn :O Is she single?

@AshleyNunn thanks! i know that cheese at fancier restaurants does not hit me so hard, this may be the secret reason

Ideally it has white crunchy crystals in.
@OrigamiRobot pls

This movie makes Battleship: the Movie look good

@fredley that looks really good :o AND I JUST CAME BACK FROM LUNCH

2:41 PM
also this may make @fredley's earlier comment accurate

user15026
@OrigamiRobot no, but poly, so...kind of!

user15026
@privatepansy I am so excited for that

@AshleyNunn Whatever gets me free cheese :P

@AshleyNunn Does she get many "Polly wants a cracker" jokes?

i should go eat some lunch before I go over and buy breakfast

user15026
2:42 PM
@MattGiltaji asking the cheesemaker's husband! Will report back when I have info!

@AshleyNunn I just like old cheese due to it's sharpness.

user15026
@fredley no, but now I want crackers.

user15026
@frank old cheeses are my favourite.

@MattGiltaji i am pretty sure it's not "aged this long suddenly has no lactose", but tapers off the older the cheese is.

@AshleyNunn @TrentHawkins and I add it to almost everything we make.
We like the cheese.

2:44 PM
@Rapitor even so, knowing the lactose half life of cheeses would be useful info

I love cheese by itself, but not on most things.

Fried cheese is so good. Literally just heat up cast iron pan, add cheese, done.

Exceptions being pizza, tacos, subs from this one single place and no others, probably one or two other things

@StrixVaria Place cheese on bread. Add Lea & Perrins. Place under grill.
Uuuuuuuuugh
so gooooood

user15026
@MattGiltaji he says it has to do with the culturing and the age, so the longer the cheese is aged the more the microbial bits in the cheese eat the lactose. He says that any good quality Parmesan, any aged cheddar (2 years and above) etc are generally safe. Younger cheese like mozzarella have way more lactose, and uncultured unaged cheese like paneer is, and I quote "a sadness bomb waiting to happen'

2:46 PM
Yissss

user15026
@fredley this this this

user15026
So tasty!

Cheddar is the best cheese

@fredley I hate you so much

@AshleyNunn lol

2:47 PM
I blame @Yuuki for all of this

@fredley bread with cheese on it in the oven?

@AshleyNunn awesome, thanks

That sounds like a great idea

@fredley mmm

user15026
@MattGiltaji no problem, hope it helps!

2:48 PM
there was a gif floating around of a cheese wheel under a heatlamp, then dripped onto a piece of bread
too lazy to find it again,

@AshleyNunn Yup, from self-made cheese. IIRC the cheese sauce is mostly heated cheese(one specific cheese though) and milk.

Only on WordPress documentation would you have functions that are marked specifically as not deprecated

@PrivatePansy facepalm

user15026
@arperum that sounds amazing

@Arperum "self made cheese" is disgusting and doesn't mean what you think it means!

2:49 PM
As in, there's a special notice on the documentation page that states that, hey, this function isn't deprecated

@KevinvanderVelden Grill

@OrigamiRobot You're disgusting.
My parents have a farm with some goats, and produce cheese and other milk based things.

ugh, why am I still in this room

user15026
2:51 PM
Shit, newegg is fast. Ordered mp3 player yesterday, and it is already on a purolator truck for delivery.

@AshleyNunn percolator truck?

user15026
The SDHC card will take longer because it is coming from America apparently, but it is also on its way. Wow.

user15026
@fredley purolator is a courier company that delivers stuff. Like UPS or whatever.

OMG, you guys are still posting food images?

@MartinSojka It never stops

2:54 PM
@fredley aah
Also works

I'm subscribed to a Firefox bug that's described as being 'old enough to drive a car'

@fredley that looks horrible but I bet it tastes so delicious

@MartinSojka No

@KevinvanderVelden I feel sorry for that wheel of cheese

@fredley Yes, I just want to eat it all and I bet that'd feel terrible for the wheel of cheese
Fortunately it's an inanimate object and can't stop me brandishes fork and knife

2:57 PM
@KevinvanderVelden But it's so...imperfect after the top has been scraped off

can't stop listening to this

Then either eat the rest immediately or take off the uneven part with a knife (when it's cooled)

> High School: Oh, man. This is where boys and girls go from tweens to teens and become complicated and cruel. Girls play sick mind games; boys try to pull each other's penises off and throw them in the bushes. user15026
@KevinvanderVelden Oh god no don't eat all of it, if you eat too much cheese no matter who you are you feel terrible inside. Especially of a soft melting cheese. (speaking from experience and I am not even remotely lactose intolerant)
