I'll be using Hunter Horn, Bowguns, and Charge Blade primarily.

I'm going to hold off on Bowguns until high-rank, though.

Bowgunning is expensive, and having one less weapon to worry about will make getting through low rank a lot faster.

Q: Unlocking Heroic Dungeons in LFD Tool

How do I unlock Heroic dungeons for previous expansions in the LFD Tool? I currently own Cataclysm, but I'd like to be able to do the Heroic dungeons in WotLK. I have a level 84 character. There's no one size fits all for bowguns, so you'll need several of them.

Well, I say that, but you can just get by with a good Normal 2/3 HBG.

But for some monsters you'll want elemental shots instead

Your load out for HBG will usually be full set of your primary shot + mats to make more on the hunt.

Although early on you'll probably just have a back up shot you'll switch to once you run out fo your primary shot.

I'd just try both of them, and see which you prefer. There's also no reason you can't use both.
