Q: What can I do with broken (burnt) rooms?

The main clock understanding in football is that the clock will stop on incomplete passes or on out of bounds. At which point there is a 30 second delay to the 35 second down clock to start. If the ball is downed in bounds, there is no 30 second delay, and the down clock starts immediately. Any time the down clock runs, so does the game clock.

@AshleyNunn - Basically, if a pass fails, the game clock stops for 40 seconds or until the ball is hiked. If a runner goes out of bounds, the clock stops for 40 seconds or until the ball is hiked. If a runner is stopped in bounds, the clock never stops, and in 40 seconds if the ball isn't hiked there is a penalty.
