@spugsley I didn't understand what people liked about this. I watched the first season. It really seemed like they were making it up as they went along.
Every time I practice in Training mode, it seems to be a hit and miss. With the bots set to Auto Block, it seems sometimes I can get very lucky and get it in, but most of the time, it ends up in a block.
I know Counter-Hit makes it easier to link, but since I can't rely solely on Counter-Hits w...
Much like how when visiting Buffalo, and trying to get a bite of Buffalo Wings, anybody can go to any bar or restaurant to try one, but the "original" wings are at the Anchor Bar. Or, for example, if anybody wants to get a bite of the "first" hot dogs, one can go to Coney Island and go to Nathan'...
The short answer is, yes, the original Lombardi's was probably the 'first', but is not under the same ownership anymore. Lombardi had several family members and apprentices that branched out, and there are a number of places that are under continuous family ownership one or two generations removed from the original Lombardi which are generally better.
Tottonnos is one, Patsy's in Harlem is another, Grimaldis, Johns on Bleecker. And a few others are either operated by descendants or students of Patsy Lamcieri
@Lumb for your typical cheap corner slice, blotting off oil with a napkin is a common thing - I do it because I end up burning the roof of my mouth if I don't. Plenty of people don't. Or do it because they want less grease/oil. YMMV, and it depends heavily on the quality of the slice.
"I imagine the catcall stretches back to ancient construction times, when the Israelites were building the pyramids, with scores of single Jewish women hiking up their loincloths, hoping for a little attention."
@FEichinger Stop. Not wanting to discuss things like this is the other half of the problem. If it makes you uncomfortable, you're welcome to bow out, as I frequently do when discussions here make me too anxious.
@frank they are always bad because the harm done by them when they are unwelcome is so much greater than any harm done by her not getting that momentary attention.
@Frank okay. Sure. There are some people that like them but that doesn't mean they aren't always bad. It continues to further a behavior that's damaging more than uplifting.
@spugsley Yeah, I'm not going to be sorry for being sick of seeing this shit crop up everywhere, with a zealousness to it that is just as terrible as the things it's calling out.
@Frank okay, I'm totally with you there. If it's a girl you personally know and she wouldn't feel unsafe by your outcry. Sure, go right ahead. But that is definitely not the usual case. Can we agree on that?
@Frank absolutely :) I didn't realize that was your point and I am all for that. I thought we were talking strangers. When I hear the phrase "catcall" I don't think "nice compliment on female friend"
@LessPop_MoreFizz yup. I think she was going for controversial but it does make me sad that she really does find that sort of thing validating. It's scary. It's the kind of thing that makes me walk with my keys between my knuckles just in case I need to stab someone who starts following me
@Frank agreed and it makes me sad that some women (like that writer) have issues with internalized misogyny. And I'm totally sorry I jumped down your throat. I am usually very happy to receive a compliment from my male friends :) just ask @Ktash
@Frank Of course :) You definitely don't strike me as the type which was why I was like "Wait, whaaaat" when I thought you were in defense of something like that.
Just to make sure that we're not losing a point that might be valid. Yeah, the overall message might be bad, but she could have something in there that's worth talking about.
> Even though it might sound harsh and impolitic, here is the bottom line: if you don’t want to get shot, tased, pepper-sprayed, struck with a baton or thrown to the ground, just do what I tell you. Don’t argue with me, don’t call me names, don’t tell me that I can’t stop you, don’t say I’m a racist pig, don’t threaten that you’ll sue me and take away my badge. Don’t scream at me that you pay my salary, and don’t even think of aggressively walking towards me
@origamirob the problem with these idiots is that they are doing this at a border crossing, where, legally, you actually really do have substantially fewer rights.
I cant vote please help. One day I got onto arquade, only to realize I can not vote is this a bug? If so please help. I have already tried reseting my entire computer.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh my god I am dying.
@OrigamiRob oh it's definitely a thing. If you want I can dig up the crazy YouTube videos where they try to explain how the only law that applies to them is maritime law and they have no names and generally just go off the rails.
There is one dude in NH who appears in court weekly to fight citations for shit like having a couch on his lawn and tries his dumb sovcit verbal judo on judges that are clearly tired of it and posts all the hearings on YouTube.
@LessPop_MoreFizz I've seen the videos, I meant people claiming all the stuff about maritime law and all that are basically just saying "this is true, I know it"
I couldn't find anything about that stuff anywhere else
@Spugsley she is a Sovereign Citizen, which is a special flavor of crazy person that believes laws don't apply to them because their name is not printed in capital letters on their birth certificate or some similar nonsense.
Once you've done some more reading about these crazies, ping me tomorrow and I'll link you some hilights from my hilarious collection of YouTube videos of them trying to confront the government and failing.
> A lot of freeman ideas revolve around bizarre interpretations of entries in Black's Law Dictionary[2] — a favourite reference for freemen — and inventing or seeing distinctions where there are none to support their beliefs (such as "policeman" versus "police officer," "understand" versus "stand under," words in CAPITALS having a different legal meaning to those in lower-case, etc.).[26] A lot of pareidolia with words and concepts is used to derive and justify ideas in freeman theory.
> Freemen believe that an individual has two personas. One of them is a physical, tangible human being, and the other is their legal person, personality, or strawman: a legal fiction created when a birth certificate is filed with what would normally be considered someone's name (e.g., JOHN SMITH), capitalization being a particular obsession.
> They believe their birth certificate is their legal person, and will attempt to present it in court when said person is called for, rather than identifying themselves as that person.
@OrigamiRob the two wiki articles I linked do a decent job of explaining it.
Fundamentally, they just read way too much into homonyms and capital letters and words that end in -ship.
(Yes. Really. They think that "citizenship" is derived from "citizen-ship" and that people are treated as boats under the law.)

@OrigamiRob no, this is not the NH guy I am talking about. The one I am referring to is named Ian Freeman, and if you google his name, it will take you down a very deep rabbit hole of crazy.
In the Profile window accessible in the hero selection screen under the Heroes tab, there is a progress bar that tells you what paragon level you have and gives you a 'percentage completed' indicator.
The example that I have provided indicates that paragon level 123 is approximately 4% of the ...
So here's my situation:
I currently have 13 systems with a TV that has 3 HDMI ports, 2 VGA inputs and 2 antenna inputs. I have done my fair share of searching online via various websites but was wondering if any skillfully and artfully crafty gamer could please provide what they have come across...
Sometimes when I provide an answer that I'm not entirely educated about, for example I might leave out a rather vital piece of information that could change the information in the answer, other users comment saying something along the lines of "this is outdated" or "this (link) should shed some e...
you cant join as a werewolf they tried to mow me down the moment i entered the zone, got a farmer killed(my companion) before i could leave the zone. can you join then get it back and them not try to mount your pelt on their wall?
Ok, this was bad. Spotify played an ad for a rap-artist, so suddenly I had rapmusic instead of metal. I think they should maybe look into directing their ads to people who actually listen to that kind of music.
Whereas my stereotypical metal lyrics song headcanon goes like GHYAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH DEATH MURDER WHORES BITCHES SATAN LOUD NOISES EXPLOHSIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS ***GHYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH***
Whilst playing Fallout 3 with mods my game appears to crash more then it normally would do, I have checked to see that they are not conflicting mods to make sure that is not the cause of the problem and have come to the conclusion that the game is not allocating itself enough RAM(I think its abou...
@Arperum Gustavus Adolphus, actually ... whose weakening of Poland-Lithuania and several German states allowed for friggin' Prussia-Brandenburg and Russia to raise. Thanks a lot, jerk. As I wrote earlier, the whole affair didn't end well for anyone involved.
Charles XII just continued on the same path, trashing Saxony-Poland-Lithuania and associated states while looking for God knows what and in the end leaving Sweden broke, weak and devoid of something like a third of its male population, so they got mixed up easily.
(Local history is fun as long as you didn't have to be there to live it)
Dude my knowledge of music is only slightly above zero. There's like classical which is old and expensive and occasionally awesome, then there's normal songs which are only bearable if you tune out the words, then there's rap where words are basically a musical instrument and metal where everybody is angry and disappointed and screams and the instruments scream, then there's 8-bit/chiptune which is like "look at me! only one handed!", Jazz which is like metal only sadder and more polite
...and everything else is probably bullshit terms people use to make themselves feel more important
Please don't destroy what little I know :P
I just usually limit myself to songs in video games because they tend to be happy with taking second stage and let me focus on other things
I have seen a version of UT2003 with an interesting single-player. Instead of ladders where you just have to defeat everyone, there are two "divisions" in each of three game types (CTF, DOM2, BR). Divisions each play a robin round, with four best teams advancing to play-offs. Presumably, you have...

> A boob. A genuine female boob. Then she had my signature tattooed on her genuine boob. Do you like how I chose this as the first question to answer? Oh, get ready.
Considering bot lane, it is customary for the ADC to build ONLY armor or armor pen while the support builds his gold income and sightstone. The idea behind this is for the ADC to be able to dish out as much damage as possible while depending on his support to keep him alive. I get this - it sound...
I dunno I don't play lol, but in dota it's basically "because the rest of the teams job is to make them not die so the carry can make the enemy team die"
Yeah, a support generally builds a mek for armor and healing for the rest of the team, some carrys are good with an assault cuiras which is + attack speed and + armor. In addition to negative armor for the enemy team
But that can also be an item for a support (in lower skill games that last a long time)
@PrivatePansy As fabulous as only an almost-40, overweight, grey-haired European man can look! The girls have no chance. The only problem will be getting my huge hairy balls to not stick out all the time ...
It's kind of offensive to have them stereotype their target audience as young single men who'd have nothing better to do than to look at booth babes at a tech show
I don't mind tech shows hiring models (... of any gender - throw in some cute guys in there as well, please?) to present their stuff, as long as the the focus is still on their products and services and I can talk to actual technical staff. It's a giant waste of everyone's time otherwise. I'm there to talk business, not look at boobs; I have the internet for the latter.
> Great question - to be honest we can't answer that right now. A few more months of development when the simulation layer is more mature we'll be able to give you a more accurate answer. Is there a population size where you go: "Fuck I have to buy this game now" - that would be helpful for us to know.
