@John I've had it happen for a variety of things - boot into your BIOS and check your boot order. If it's set to boot to CD before your hard drive, it may try to boot to a non-bootable CD

Q: Does crouching improve accuracy with most ranged weapons?

In many FPSes one can crouch to improve accuracy, in TF2 it's not clear if crouching improves accuracy. Does crouching improve accuracy for any of the classes? What about a spy's pistol? What about a heavy's chaingun? How about shotguns?

There's an article on the wiki about crouching, and it says no, regardless what weapon you use:

Crouching does not increase your accuracy when firing a weapon, unlike in other Source games.

When you see Spies or Scouts crouching while firing their pistols, either they aren't aware of this, or they crouch to avoid being seen, good for hiding behind barrels, low walls, fences, etc.

I prefer running around while shooting as Spy.

I topped the scoreboard yesterday on koth_badlands (despite my team losing iirc) by being very aggressive.

40-some odd points, but only 8 backstabs.

The Spy's Enforcer is a ridiculously good weapon, proving that Valve added one good weapon in the Uber update! :D

From a distance, the Ambassador has a clear edge, as headshots don't lose damage over distance.

The Enforcer seems to have a fairly high damage falloff, dealing 25 or so damage at medium range.

I lolled yesterday when one of the maps went into Sudden Death. That server has melee-only sudden death.

Some of the Heavies got stuck with the melee weapon that does 6 damage to themselves every few seconds.

Oh yeah, I heard Nintendo unveiled a new Wii model. Not sure of the official name, but the Wii Slim is smaller... by removing its Gamecube controller and memory card ports.
