@Yuki There is Ladder and there is Non-ladder. The ladder resets every so often and all ladder content is converted to non-ladder.

At least that's how it worked in D2.

Now ladder doesn't look like a real word.

Let me rephrase. If rerolling your character once in every time range keeps the game from stagnating then what's stopping you from doing that?

if that somehow makes the game better for an individual that's not doing it for competition then it doesn't have to be forced, it can be done manually
