Yes, but you say this like it's an either or. It's not.

(Part of the problem, at least in the states, is that because of a quirk of the way campaign finance laws are structured, it's easier for third parties to run negative ads about the guy they don't like them positive ads about the one they do because of weird coordination rules and such, which throws the proportions off, but most campaigns do actually run - for their own ads - more positive than negative messages.)

He'd gone to the ER the week before and they refused to do an MRI and told him to "just go home with some pain meds". Then, before the emergency surgery he waited in the ER for 15 hours and it was just really bad all around
