Yes, I believe the Declaration of Independence is an important document. And considering its place in history, I can see and understand why people would consider it sacred. However, I do not agree that the Super Bowl is an appropriate place to read it. It's not an issue of whether the Declaration of Independence deserves the Super Bowl, it's whether the Super Bowl deserves the Declaration of Independence.
