I wonder if you can turn off the (#) alert for Stack Exchange. Chrome usually flashes the tab whenever there is an "update" on the page, but not with SE.

@3ventic That's probably my best option for now. I might have to swap back to FF temporarily though. Chrome seems to have a bug, whenever you pin a tab if you try to close it without unpinning it first it will stay pinned.

Too bad there is no way to report bugs for Chrome. Not that I can tell. The Google product forums are beyond useless unfortunately.
