For what it's worth, I think a Mythology Stack Exchange is a pretty great idea, and I wouldn't give up on it. There's a fair bit of non-subjective, interesting material there.

Don't give up, but when you sense a bit of pushback from communities you gotta know when to let off a bit and just leave them alone.

you'll get a better sense for when people are getting tired as you go on, it's like a social instinct that you need to train.

the main thing is, try to empathize with other people I guess. if people seem annoyed at you, you gotta remember that people are trained to dislike advertisements by TV and the ilk

I think the easiest way to succeed at advertising is to build up a lot of good will with people by, you know, just chilling, being interested in them, complimenting them and what-not even if sometimes they don't pay it back.

then people are just going to naturally listen to you because they like and respect you.

I tried a bunch of things when it came to joining in different chatrooms and I feel like the best way to integrate yourself into one is just to be friendly to people without much rhyme or reason. It's different enough from the usual hostility or condescending attitudes that most online chatrooms seem to harbor that people usually remember you being kind.

Yeah, simple ones. The most important thing I got out of the course so far is that we're only required to carry out maintenance tasks that require less than one hour of work. Any more and we can send the vehicle over to a certified mechanic instead
