@Fredy31 Stable diffusion hallucinations part #1: Shenshelda 1, 2, 3
PS: I am sorry but I fear only (Golden?) Fredy31 can get the joke

i guess its a mix between shenshe and zelda but its weird how it mostly just gives a semi-chibi zelda

in case you were wondering @Fredy31 this was not intentional, apparently the diffuser decided that is a "long" shirt
@Fredy31 the model is indeed biased toward the mapple story / disagea art style.

yeah looking at it its more of a semi-chibi zelda in a shenshe inspired outfit

But I was joking on the fact that the picture ended up with just half of the tunic.
context for the rest of the room:

@SPArcheon I actually get it because Reddit keeps pushing shenhe fanart at me.

3:23 PM
or if you prefer...
consider that they do look like this.
@Yuuki ^ it is a common joke that they have one dress split in two.
someone even imagined how they would look with the full dress.

I wish Nintendo had committed harder to TotK as a sequel to BotW. There's just way too much hedging on making sure people who didn't play BotW don't feel like they missed anything.
Either that or they should've made a cleaner split with BotW somehow.

@Yuuki idk
you definitely dont want your game to simply fuck over any new fans that picked it up without playing the one before

Sure, Majora's Mask (since that's the common comparison) just kinda hinted that it was a sequel to OoT, but it also took place in a completely different place (Termina instead of Hyrule) with new characters.

@Fredy31 coff coff coff Kingdom Hearts

@Fredy31 I feel like if you're making a sequel, the players need to understand that maybe they should play the previous game to understand some story beats. This is exactly why WoW's story is so garbage compared to FFXIV.

3:38 PM
@Yuuki depends: if that sequel is Chrono Cross it is better if you didn't play the prequel since it goes out of its way to ruin everything the prequel was.

@SPArcheon I mean, KH's problem is that the story is so goddamn convoluted and (up until 3) with parts sequestered on like six separate platforms.

Same with Last of Us part 2, you want to play it without knowing who Joel was and what personality Ellie used to have
you will get less angry that way.
@Yuuki and don't forget the mobile only trash games that have all the defect of the usual mobile money grab games but are still relevant to the plot

WoW's story problem is that 1) not everyone raids and 2) not everyone plays all the xpacs. So every story for every expansion needs to handle the fact that not everyone will have seen character development that happened in one xpac or in one particular raid arc. So characters essentially can't change.
Besides, I think it's charitable to assume that people who play sequels first do go into those games with the understanding that anything they don't get is probably related to something from the first game.
And are okay with that
I didn't play the first Red Dead Redemption and I didn't complain about 2 shifting the story to John at the end.

@Yuuki You need to play Genshin to change your expectations a bit :P
Essential lore information dropped in time gated events that will never be rerun.
"The sky is a lie", perhaps the most important line ever... said by Scara in the first ever event when no one was playing yet.

3:59 PM
@SPArcheon I mean, that seems about as expected from a genre that weaponizes FOMO.
Genre? Category?

@Yuuki action jrpg with gacha elements tied to unlocking new characters.
Basically, decent game haunted by gacha mechanics
that said, it is not the usual "you won't beat the new event unless you pull the new character that is powered up for the event".

@SPArcheon My review would be game is pretty solid, yes it has a heavy dip into gapachon and other 'pay to spin the wheel' mechanics but I went through the whole story and pretty much all of the content no problem as a F2P
Its really just end-END game content that you get fucked if you are F2P; and its nothing mandatory

@Fredy31 "end" game. You could have wrote "Abyss level 12" because of horrible overscaling of mobs
and I don't even get if that is intended by design or a result of the ascension mechanics.
The game is made so that you have an actual hardcoded debuf in hitting mob of a level above your.
That is to make the "world level" thing work: as soon as your WL increases the mobs suddenly jump in level and for a while you are severely underpowered.
Problem is that the mobs from abyss 12 are scaled to a world level that the player can't reach yet since their level is locked to 90 and the mobs are lev 100

4:43 PM
BTW, since once again Nintendo betrayed my hopes for the ruins of a very specific place in TOTK, I went for plan B

5:20 PM
@SPArcheon yeah i remember i think the last jump before I was max WL, and it went quickly from 'i tear through everything' to 'the most basic of grunts is now a damage sponge'
Isnt LonLon ranch in BOTW?
Its just ruins tho

@Fredy31 It is in BOTW, in Hyrule Warrior and it is indeed still there in TOTK.
and still ruins in TOTK too.

Isnt that Malon? Or is it another character that didnt jump to my mind?

@Fredy31 that is Malon minus the details that you can't hope to copy
like the Bowser shaped brooch

So what is the specific place you wanted in TOTK?

@Fredy31 a rebuilt Lon Lon with an actual Malon.
bonus point if the new version looks like she could defeat Ganon herself.
example

6:29 PM
Bäh I beat him.
