I think this game might require too much thinking for me.

I like incremental games where numbers mostly go up by themselves.

Not sure what happens on if you try to make it on purpose but the wire will always pay for itself

But there are other things you can spend on besides wire.

You very quickly unlock a bunch of efficiency upgrades for wire

I currently get something like 100k wire per spool

for a cost of $150ish

very easily pays for itself

Right now my demand isn't remotely keeping up with my inventory, so I guess the thing to do is just wait until I can afford marketing.

I don't feel like selling paper clips for dirt is the answer.

If you have an array @x you can get the number of elements in it by evaluating it in scalar context.

something like my $count = @x

or even if(@x == 2){ ... }

however,

there is an alternative construct that will give you the last index of that array, $#

so if @x has two elements, then $#x will be 1.

and if $x is a reference to an array to two elements, then $#$x will be 1.

Why though?

In Perl 4 people thought it was arrogant to force 0-indexed arrays on everyone

as a result you could set $[ to be whatever starting index you desired

this made iterating over the indexes of an array something like for($[ .. $#x){ ... }

you literally needed $# to avoid harcoding the value of $[ which could very well be 19.

Naturally, there is more than one way to do things

so you can also call keys @x to get the same list of indexes.

keys being the function you would normally use to get the keys of a dictionary

but eh it's still all indexing after all amirite?
