8:02 PM
There, I've updated my goodreads with books I know I've read this year
@KevinvanderVelden 10 books to go
Pfff, I've got holidays now, that's easy
I don't believe
Or well, I've got holiday on wednesday

Q: Logitech Driving Force GT not working at all for gta5 on ps3 and not working well for nfs ?

user174420I've bought a Logitech Driving Force GT for ps3 . mostly for playing gta with it ; here is it : after connected it with my ps3 . it didn't work at all in gta5 , and in need for speed Brake Pedal And Accelerator not working !

@Unionhawk I'm just gonna have to prove you wrong now aren't I?
Hmm I know I missed a few books on this list
@KevinvanderVelden thanks for reminding
Link when you're done so I can stalk friend you? =p
Also @Ash I've bought my mom the heralds of valdemar trilogy for christmas
@KevinvanderVelden good choice!
8:15 PM
@KevinvanderVelden goodreads.com/aozk
(also like, 3 other books but that was a highlight)
One day a book and I'll catch up with my yearly challenge, oof.
@arda you just need very short books
@arda This is where novellas are helpful :)
Have you read Asimov's short stories yet?
8:26 PM
Kinda sad that it isn't a challenge of reading pages
You can easily read more of those than there are days left in this month
Because the books I've read haven't been short =p
@KevinvanderVelden hah! Sucker. 0/10 minmaxing
I suppose I could count the 365 tomorrows things
That'd be about... ooh 365
Or you could count each of my rants as a short story
8:29 PM
I don't think they qualify as short
With that you're already gained one hundred points
I know you all study them quite carefully
@KevinvanderVelden According to my Year in Books thing GR has done, the 256 books I've read equal 72,605 pages
> 6,627
I like how there's one book only read by 246 other people
@KevinvanderVelden also watch out no one said pages need to be A5 or B4 or whichever the actual format is called. I now need to know this
One of my books I read this year was only read by 11 others, another was read by only 2
8:34 PM
Least popular: 246, most popular: 596,221
4¼″ x 7″ at least in some markets
though there's no real standards in place
@badp looks at bookcase can confirm
@badp I'm pretty sure it's 57
We must fix this (and that's how we got a 75th book size standard)
Chat when I say edit a message I don't mean post a duplicate
@KevinvanderVelden and all other people who don't use Good Reads
8:54 PM
@Wipqozn Yeah, it was P2P in the technical tests too. Killed a lot of games when the host would leave. Shame they're sticking with that.
Speaking as an elite player... yay
super yay
P2P combat will work
Elite was P2P?
Oh right, it's still around...
So combat logging is a thing, and it's fairly trivial to do shit like "cheats that make shields appear to go down but then have infinite strength at the last few percent"
9:04 PM
Hey people cheat in the real world too!
this song is stuck in my head m.youtube.com/watch?v=i8ju_10NkGY
@badp The only consistency really is mass market paperbacks
Q: Having trouble with the brackets using /summon command, can someone please help?

TheSteveasaurGreeenI'm working on a map with my friend and I recently stumbled into a problem, neither me nor my friend know which brackets to change in this command: /summon zombie ~ ~1 ~ {HandItems:[{Count:1,id:iron_hoe,tag:{display:{Name:"Grim Reaper's Scythe"},ench:[{id:16,lvl:5},{id:19,lvl:2}]}},{Count:1,id:bo...

I know California is a state & we have to count it, but if you remove CA, Trump won the popular vote by 1.4 million http://www.investors.com/politics/commentary/its-official-clintons-popular-vote-win-came-entirely-from-california/
Shit like this is pretty much why the electoral college is a thing
> To those unschooled in how the United States selects presidents, this seems totally unfair. But look more closely at the numbers and you see that Clinton's advantage all but disappears.
I don't see why you have to specify the us bit, it's pretty much the textbook definition of "unfair"
9:10 PM
"WAA CALIFORNIA VOTERS VOTED IN A LANDSLIDE" "Who fucking cares they're still americans you idiot"
> What's more, many Republicans in the state had nobody to vote for in November.
As if the opposite doesn't happen in many other states
(from what I've heard)
(Yes, I am calling someone who uses the "the state you live in should matter" argument as a reason to keep electoral college an idiot)
(since everyone knows the only real reason to keep it at this point is because changing it would be hard)
> I know California Texas is a state & we have to count it, but if you remove CA TX...
"Waa my opponent won this state but if we remove that state my guy won :thinking:"
Speaking as someone from Texas, this is a pretty stupid as f--k sentiment.
"Well, if we just disqualify everyone who voted for Clinton, then Trump would have won the popular vote."
To be fair, that was a strategy they tried to employ.
9:15 PM
I still say you guys should just make Canada president
Millions voted illegally you guys
(soon: "voting for someone other than Trump made illegal")
@badp I like how no one needs to actually find that link to know what @fredley posted
... I should learn Russian.
I just know "da, comrade" so I think I can pass
@Unionhawk I've heard that it's Romanized with a 'k' not a 'c'.
9:19 PM
I'll be able to survive in the event of a conspiracy theory level inquisition happens
Russia is very pro much
Putin is very pro much
And then they bring out the shibboleth
If I get sent to Siberia some time in the next 4 years, it was an honor knowing all of you. Ecspecially @Wipqozn
WOOOOOOOOW @UNI TYPO-- oh wait that was mod abuse typo
Huh, there's several dutch-something shibboleths
(dutch/french, dutch/frisian, dutch/english)
9:24 PM
Chinese/Japanese shibboleths are just a game of "find the obscure-enough character/kanji".
Aah but those aren't spoken =p
And as such don't count
@KevinvanderVelden Spoken/written distinction is very weird with non-phonetic languages.
hmmmm flux at 1173K is definitely something different
@Unionhawk damn it
mod abuse typo worst typo
9:30 PM
@Yuuki I can help, I learned enough by playing CSGO
My russian stops at случайных русских слов
if it's CSGO, probably "please uninstall"
@KevinvanderVelden my russian stops at ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
my Russian stops at "Vladimir Putin"
@KevinvanderVelden 4,543, plus zagher fal.
@badp Will check it out, thanks
9:39 PM
they're so good
@Ash I have one that was only read by one person :O
It's really weird how Sessions went from Trump's most controversial cabinet pick to one of his least controversial.
9:53 PM
message360 API

Proposed Q&A site for software developers utilizing the message360 API that have questions about syntax usage in C#, Java, Ruby, Python, JS, Go or Objective-C/Adndroid

Currently in definition.

@badp oof, there's a LOT of them. Any specific recommendations, or should I just pick random ones?
@arda not based on titles, sorry.
Solution: Read all of them
@KevinvanderVelden I spent last 10 minutes searching for a compilation or a pack or someth
lol I didn't realize pebble has wat.ch
RIP pebble
10:04 PM
@Unionhawk Believe in rebble
@arda aww, all 4 links taken down :/ Time for tor library, or maybe not.
is google maps only running in lite mode just for me
@Unionhawk :(
no, it loads the full version in EDGE

10:12 PM

@arda no offence but you government sucks
@Memor-X oh, I know and agree fully
Yup tor is definitely blocked. Keybase does some extra stuff that protects itself, but it's definitely blocked when accessing it directly.
@fredley there needs to be one of those Christmas angels of Hans Gruber falling off the top of the Christmas tree
10:36 PM
@GnomeSlice it sure is when you see how Sir Patrick Stuart looks after that
goes from 3D to 2D
@arda ugh I finally found it.
10:58 PM
@fredley That's a pretty great film
cc @lesspop
oh he don't autocomplete any more
@RedRiderX Yeah, interesting. I wonder if anything happened afterwards
Because I have excellent friends I am going to have my new meat for 2016 for dinner tonight (it's quail) and I am excited.
(toast for scale)
scale unclear: lacks banana
/reddit haHAA
@fredley Well you saw the last 30seconds right?
Quail, a tiny chicken you can't stick an orange flavored flare up it's ass
11:36 PM
@ToxicFrog thanks again :D
@Memor-X what
@Unionhawk it's what Heston Blumenthal did once, in trying to infuse an orange flavor into a chicken he used orange flavored flares. end resault was horrible but in the end he created a Quail Pate coated in this orange glaze and shaped it into an orange
@Ash ^
That... what...?
Where do you even get orange flavored flares?
11:40 PM
I'm in nintendo VR mode
@Unionhawk can't remember, i suppose he made them himself. wouldn't be the first time he's made something strange since he's made editable menu cards, chocolate flavored water and fish and chips flavor packets for crisps
popato chisps
video card maker marketing flavoured
does your power even infinity fabric into purity
11:45 PM
The fuck is infinity fabric.
@Unionhawk swood
Hmm css variables are sort of a pain to debug...
Q: Can you play a game that you have on one pc and play it multiplayer on the other?

user174431I have civ 5, and I want to play multiplayer with my friend. He does not have the game but is it possible for me to download it through steam then I give him the disc to download so we can play together? Please reply with feedback.

11:54 PM
@GnomeSlice Calling the concept of "social justice" (as he defines it) evil is a bit much, but he makes a useful distinction.
"We don't have enough women in the IT industry, so women don't feel like they would belong to get into this boy's club, so they might not even consider a career in IT. What can we do?" "Hire more women?" "No, that's evil."
Maybe, but you have to break the vicious circle at some point, ideally all of them.
Keeping things as they are will only make things worse because you're allowing a vicious cycle to continue.
(I picked women and IT because it's a problem that hits closer to home)
