I had a fortress where to get into it you crossed a bridge over a lake and entered into a cliff face
There was a ramp there which went down a few levels, eventually looping around to a great hall underneath the lake
I managed to dig a drain under the bridge in the lake, so there was constantly water flowing down through a wide shaft and crashing into a pool in the great hall
In the water shaft, there were two hatches and a grate
When enemies walked over the bridge, it retracted, dropping them into the lake, where they were sucked into the drain
They fell through the shaft and landed on the grate
I could then close the hatch below the grate, wait a minute, and close the hatch above the grate, locking the enemies in a tube full of water, where they'd rapidly drown
Then I would open the bottom hatch, draining the water out, and unlock a door in the side of the shaft so my dorfs could waltz in and take all of their armor and weapons
It was beautiful

agile means you sometimes completely forget to do something and it's going to be fine anyway
because you're doing management 3.0 or sense making or mikado methods
so what if you forgot the bit of scaling that involves actually fixing the goodamn thing
you just need 4 versions of lifecycle: "prototype, alpha, beta, deprecated"
and then you're good
and I mean maybe your human centered design isn't quite simple, or extreme
but if you can build a card sorting robot in a hackathon you should be good
no one will think you're using the scrub methodology
you're just having a cumulative flow diagram
also known as throwing shit together until it sticks to the wall
and then your customer can burn down the millions it owes you and it's off to monte carlo with great velocity
in retrospective, it's a great plan
