@Sterno also there's an in game clock based on the 3ds clock. Some Pokémon will only show up at certain times of day. Sun time is the same as the 3ds clock, but moon is a 12 hours ahead (so if you play at 2pm the game time is 2am)

The only other difference is Pokémon, but I doubt you'd care about that. So assuming you're too lazy to change your clock pick based on the time difference.
