My answer to What's the best strategy for the 2015 Steam Sale Monster Summer Game? appears to be grayed out. I don't see any notice though. What's going on?

I'm not sure why, but when I was trying to change my name it glitched, and now I can't type anything as my name. Also if I try to chat with other players, all that appears in the game is "<". Help? I'd like to be able to communicate and have my name back.
