@fbueckert We had our own fruit stand for a while as well for produce that we got at auction. Had someone stop by and pry the cash box off the counter and steal it. :( Only happened once though at least.

Frozen pizza is quick, easy, stereotypical, over-priced and probably quite unhealthy. Homemade pizza takes too long. Stir fries are quick and easy. Soups, stews, curries, and chilies are dead simple, but usually have to boil for quite a while. Sandwiches and pastas are quick (if you go with a pre-made sauce - Ragu is acceptable).

@FAE Cooking is trial and error. Takes experience more than anything else. A recipe can only do so much, gives you a rough estimate but sticking to it by the letter is just ridiculous. ;)

@WorldEngineer Actually, I make this pizza spread when I'm doing pizza on non-pizza crusts. It's sort of like pizza sandwich spread - works great on buns and bread too - obviously toasted/broiled. I find as a topping that it better accommodates the non-pizza-crust nature of these other bread products.

Scrambled eggs and omelettes are easy. Pancakes are easy, but recipes usually make a lot so preparation can be time consuming without the right implements.

@fbueckert When you only have a small fry pan, yes it is because you end up cooking them one at a time. If you make mini pancakes, you can get 4 in a pan, but still uses just as little mix at a time.

It's essentially a two-stage process. One is to mix up the batter, and the other is to cook it.

If cooking it is taking too long, you're not using enough heat.

@fbueckert I don't tend to eat apples often enough to justify their purchase and if I don't buy bulk, I feel like I'm being ripped off so I almost never have the apples to make these, although I do love them. I should switch apples in place of bananas next shop.

@fbueckert I always plan out everything on my shopping list when I plan out my meals. It makes budgeting time and finances simpler. Very rarely do I buy stuff off list, but if the stuff on the list is on-sale, then I'll go for it.
