I've used TMI and NEI many times in my SMP adventures, but I always find myself thinking "Well, I can just cheat in a few Stone to build this house. I mean.. I've found that if I want to run a browser and... anything else, I can't use Chrome because it commits memory like crazy. IE10 is much more lightweight

Often times it drops me just to a gray desktop with all the windows stuck underneath, so I have to log out manually

I wonder what the licensing is on their sprite packs

@badp The battle UI actually was slightly different from how it was in Off, so it looked more (but not entirely) like Eartbound's menu. IIRC the pause menu is 100% the same, less the graphics

but it still had those ATB bars, which was weird. Earthbound was pure turn based and always has been, so ATB is an odd choice, unless it's hard to change

I'd assume a choice of combat engines would be too much to offer

ATB vs turn based doesn't seem like it'd be hard to offer

@ThomasMcDonald That's the beauty of it; more or less it requires no effort. You can set budgets and it only bugs you if you exceed your budget, and it auto-tracks your credit card spending (if you let it) and categorizes your expenses based on the vendor name

You can buy way more than 3 cards for what a booster sells for

It's not perfect and to keep your expenses 100% accurate you need to dig in and fix stuff where it didn't guess what category the expense was, or when it was wrong, but I only fiddle with that stuff every quarter or so

It's pretty safe to try; you give to read-only access to whatever accounts you want it to, and their monetization model is subtle "saving tips" which are really ads. So once a month it will quietly nag "you're paying more than the national average for car insurance" (I'm a 23 year old single male with a Mercedes, no shit I pay more than average)

In Jagged Alliance Online one hires a mercenary for a two-week period. What happens to said merc, when their contract lapses? Do they retain their level, stats and gear in their possession at the time, so I can re-hire them later, if I wish? Or does everything reset to where it was before I hired...

@badp You consider $61 minimum wage? Then again, it took me a year to make this much. Rounds off to about 17 cents a day. I guess... but then again, how much do you expect a 13 year old to make a day?
