@fbueckert No, that is not remotely logical if you understand anything about Valve or Steam. And if you don't, you probably shouldn't be replying to the question.
@Decency: The concern people have is that it appears to be an open-ended list. @fbueckert was just trying to clear up whether or you were referring to all steam games, or just valve games, since he thought it might make a difference as to whether not your question was problematic.
@Decency The question is an open-ended list. Every time Valve adds another game to Linux, the answer will need to be updated. Open-ended lists are too broad.
@Wipqozn All I know for sure that has been ported so far is the original Half-life and maybe some of its mods. It's reasonable that the question would have some maintenance.
@Decency Would you consider rephrasing your question to "Does Valve maintain a list of Valve games ported to Linux"? I think that would solve the concerns users have.
I know Counter-Strike 1.6 is also being ported to the new Valve distribution system, which means dedicated servers have to use SteamCMD (the CS:GO server updater) from now on.
@Decency There is a precedent for questions like this. Our link-only-answer policy is somewhat foggy. Although users raise the issue of dead links as the main concern, in reality it has more to do with it being similiar to "let me google that for you". Instead of answering the users question, you're providing them with a page and saying that it contains an answer somewhere in there.

@Decency How do you know? They can change it anytime they want. The point is, we should not have to maintain a list of games meeting any criteria. If you change the question to ask if Valve maintains a list, the maintenance is on them.

Gee's Arena does not open after the fight, and I have to leave the game.
@OrigamiRobot Seems like a reasonable complaint to me. Perhaps when the porting is closer to completion or at least further unveiled by Valve it will have a more easily maintainable answer.
@Decency You can solve all those problems by just asking if Valve maintains a list. Yes it will solicit link-only answers, but that can't always be avoided and doesn't instantly make a question bad.
@StrixVaria Ours is cumulative too. Also, you can only use $10 in Hero Bucks at a time until your total is > $50. Then you can use $20. It goes up from there, but I don't know what the breakpoints are.
Although I'm ticked off that one part of the game has you crossing 3 areas without a single teleport point, and the third area has a bunch of sidequest givers.
Which means to get / turn in those quests, I have to trudge through the areas before them again.
