10:03 PM
@fredley wat
@StrixVaria It shows, there's a respec option pretty much immediately in the game

He's the farthest north-east in the US on there.

10:17 PM
@Ullallulloo Oh, I forgot about that.

Oh man, someone just gave me like a billion mana in Dungeon Defenders
How many is ten digits?

1
Q: How does the skill damage work?

StrixVariaMy Eviscerate skill currently says: Inflicts 88% of Weapon DPS Let's not take into account the extra DoT effect that this skill does. Does that mean that attacking with this skill actually does less damage than attacking normally? Does it mean that it deals 88% of the total average damage ...

@GnomeSlice 10.

@Wipqozn Is that a billion?

@GnomeSlice Ten digits is minimum 1 billion

10:28 PM
@fbueckert Oh man.

@GnomeSlice That's gonna ruin your game, FYI.

I have 1,195,846,443
@fbueckert Oh jeez, I know.
But it actually won't.
I'll spend it all upgrading things I won't use so I can give them silly names.
'Magic Club'.
'Ebony Perforator'
Heehee
I could make a bunch of pets with rude names too.

@GnomeSlice "Mun Lander"

@fbueckert It would have to be something uniquely terrible then
I should have made all of my heroes' names end in 'Kerman'.

Oh, yes. Pic of ship incoming.

10:42 PM
@fbueckert This is very similar to mine...
Also, lol at the parachute glued to the side of the nose cone.

@GnomeSlice Those massive engines burn far too much fuel to be efficient.
@GnomeSlice It's a hat!

Doesn't that affect the aerodynamics slightly?
@fbueckert I disagree, they have SO MUCH POWER

@GnomeSlice Not enough to me noticable.

But they do make your rockets fall apart.

@GnomeSlice That's what solid boosters are for.
And why my boosters have boosters.

10:44 PM
The massive engines actually make REALLY good orbital engines, but I've only made one rocket so far that can get up with one of those things and two giant fuel tanks.
But it has enough fuel left to basically go anywhere in the universe, now.

Fun fact: those side decouplers don't like more than two of those little solid boosters. Any more, and the whole thing tears off.

@fbueckert Yep.
@fbueckert But not if you use support struts.
Well, less likely.

@GnomeSlice Tried it with struts. Still tore off.
So now, two boosters.
The only reason the second stage has those solid boosters is to impart a little extra velocity while the liquid engines burn as fast as possible; that stage has just slightly too much weight.
@GnomeSlice Any engine makes good orbital engines; the trick is to use as little as possible to get INTO an orbit.

@fbueckert My last attempt at orbiting mun didn't go so well because my engines were too weak.

@GnomeSlice So don't use the tiny ones; use at least the regular sized ones.

10:49 PM
@fbueckert the trick is actually getting into orbit in the most unlikely way possible. Form over function FTW!

@TrentHawkins Shut up, you. Your sky drill barely makes it into orbit.

@TrentHawkins This.

Never mind actually establishing orbit.

But it makes it! :D

Man, I wanted to build something EXACTLY like that skydrill, but I forgot you could rotate pieces that precisely. :o

10:50 PM
Where's my, "Cut @TrentHawkins off from the Internet" button?

It's right there on the modem. press it, i dare you.

@fbueckert It's next to the blame badp button, which is next to the airlock.

'Orbiter'.
Those are like the BEST engines to use. I guess it's not the GIGANTIC one.

@GnomeSlice Fun fact: with the fuel bug, you could make it to Mun, land, take off, and come back, all with just the cockpit, a single half-fuel tank, and the needle engine.

@fbueckert The needle engine is awesome.
Also, wat?

10:53 PM
@GnomeSlice There we go! Took a bit for that to sink in!

Anyway, that ship was my attempt at getting something into orbit that actually looks like a small space station or something.
And not some mish-mash of terror.

@GnomeSlice EVERYTHING you launch is a mishmash of terror.
Safety is for humans!

@fbueckert IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE

@GnomeSlice THEN YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!

@fbueckert Geez, KSP's site is down for me.
I guess it's getting mobbed with updates?

10:56 PM
@GnomeSlice Oh, yeah.
They're hosting the download file, so it's stupid slow.

@GnomeSlice Yeah, you've linked that before.

@GnomeSlice I don't get it.

@Wipqozn Which part?

@GnomeSlice The joke.

11:05 PM
@Wipqozn Oh, the image?
You'd have to have played the demo to get it.
Basically, Jebediah Kerman never freaks out.
He's always grinning.
Even if you're crashing or something.

Ah, okay. I get it.

@GnomeSlice argh what the hell are you using for a monitor

@badp Ms Paint.
@badp Why?

@GnomeSlice no, I meant your monitor. You're like the first person I see on the internet with reversed RGB subpixel smoothing

I just crop everything before I post it.
@badp HOW DO I FIX THAT
It's a TV or something
It's worse than that too, I have the cleartype thing turned off
because it looked like ass
there was orange and blue all up in my text

11:13 PM
@GnomeSlice yes that's normal, you wouldn't notice it on a normal screen given the way in which subpixels are arranged in most screens
apparently you have told your computer subpixels are arranged the other way round
so instead of orange and blue there's green and orange

@badp Yeah, well, this isn't actually a monitor, it's a TV or something.

"adjust cleartype"

@badp I did, I eventually turned it off
because things like web URLS weren't readable
but... how can you see my cleartype settings in a screenshot?

@GnomeSlice The colors of the subpixel hinting are reversed

Isn't that just on my monitor?

11:15 PM
No, it's the operating system that's doing the hinting

Fine, I'll turn it back on, or something...

It might look different on different monitors

SO MUCH ORANGE
@badp Is that better?

@GnomeSlice It should look like this:

Is that what it looks like?

11:22 PM
@GnomeSlice That's how ClearType is supposed to look, yes.
@GnomeSlice Type "adjust cleartype"

@Ullallulloo Is that what mine looks like, I mean
@Ullallulloo I did

@GnomeSlice It should give you a 4-step thing to get it looking right.

I adjusted it before posting the second image

@GnomeSlice Ah, no then it's still wrong.

@Ullallulloo ASDQASDASDASDA

11:24 PM
@GnomeSlice Pick the ones where you don't see the orange/blue.

@Ullallulloo I did
It's because this is a TV not a monitor

@GnomeSlice If you don't see it, then I guess it's okay.

Q: Do you get WvW Bonuses while in overflow maps?

JayWhile in a overflow map if you go to the WvW window to see the progress, you see the following message: WvW information is not visible from dungeons, instances, and overflow maps. Travel to WvW to participate. Do you still benefit from the WvW bonuses while in the overflow map even thoug...

Oooo, shiny badges

11:53 PM
@wipqozn if we arrange this fast, and you can drive down to Portland Maine early next month, I can help you lots.

@LessPop_MoreFizz Are you going to be there for business?
