Which is why they've tried adding stuff like character AI systems. But really, if I'm just going to adjust some dials and then let all the characters make their own decisions, I might as well let the game play itself and I'll just go eat a sandwich or something.

@Jonny Remakes are fine. I played FF1-3 on my phone. Although I'd rather they not fall into the Nintendo trap of strip-mining their former glory.
@Jonny They do have great music. However, the only Square game I've played all the way through since FF10 is Chaos Rings for iOS, so I'm not super-up-to-date with them. Also, Nobuo was always my favorite, and from what I understand he only works with them occasionally now.
Also, there aren't very many games that I can dedicate tons of hours to anymore, what with kids and job and all that adult nonsense. And unfortunately, good jrpgs tend to be the sort of games that require tons of hours.
I can't seem to find an answer for this. The impact stat seems to affect the width of the 'nice shot' zone on the swing. The spin and side spin stats affect how much of those you can pull off, but what does the control stat do?
@sjohnston Haha Ya, I know the feeling. I'm glad someone has played it though. It got a horrible rep for additions. But that is still one of my favorite game implementations. I bet it was hard to play that game and eat a sandwch!
@Jonny I really hated additions at first. But after playing a while, I realized that they kept the combat feeling fun (and a little challenging), where most other games of that sort the combat can become kind of tedious, especially when you're 40+ hours in.
@strixvaria 7 was fine i felt. you could even turn off the real-time in the options. 13's was atrocious. worst system ever. fights were sometimes so fast I'm not even sure what happened.

@fbueckert I agree. But you have to have a lot of items saved up. @MarkTrapp That one is pretty good, but I prefer killing this one because i like the rare drops for weapons/money. Fully buffed, I can kill it in under 5 mintues everytime
I feel like FF13-2 gave me a better appreciation for the battle system: been meaning to see how much better I do in FF13. Used to loathe choosing paradigm roles that a character wasn't suited for, so I never used paradigms like Tortoise when I should've
@fbueckert I know. D: I ran through there really fast the first time, fighting as little as possible.
Then I spent forever maxing everyone out later to beat everything else.
Farming money was the biggest advantage of that place though which I basically just gave up on.

ff13's trophies were poorly designed. Too much "lol grind you know you like it". FF13-2's were more reasonable and attainable by short spurts of focused effort

Some women are introvert, thus when they're sad or angry, they don't talk. I've read in Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus that women talk to calm down.
How can a husband encourage his wife to talk about problems when she's sad, in order to make her calm?
