@GarethJones rough estimate is the ratio of 30:50 and/or 30:60 respectively so 1.666...x and/or 2x in the worst case. It depends on encoding and source material. If there's a lot of activity and change every frame, then that's your worst case as the encoder has to handle more data between n-frames in a codec with some form of compression applied.

@GarethJones But that's the limit and worse case, assuming fraps captures at a flat frame rate and that it is your peak defined in the limit. If it uses a variable frame rate, you might expect some slightly smaller sizes should your game chug at some point below the limit. For raw video captures, filesizes get quite huge so 6 gig is no surprise. At the very least, you should be prepared for such large sizes in the worst case.

@ickleislands I know. I downvoted the clearly flawed answer some time ago. I saw the answer had sufficient commentary documenting the flaws and saw no need to participate further. Personally, I feel the question deserves closing/deletion as it doesn't address an actual concern that this user or anyone would have and the material is clearly documented in at least one other Q&A, regardless of reasoning with the user.

Either way. I explained to them in clear wording exactly what they had done wrong and hopefully they can learn from it regardless of what action is taken or not. I have faith that I have done enough to at least try to be of help without implicating myself in a matter for which I care not to be party to.

@QAdp My point is that I'm too cheap to buy keys and if all this process get you is a crate, then it is of no help to me. I just end up with different clutter unless this scorched key can be acquired through other means.
